1973 CB500 compression at 50lbs...

Can that be true..I took test and the gauge read 50lbs... Can the motor even run with that pressure?...It seems to run fine..

Was the motor at operating temp and the throttle wide open choke open where the reading all the same on all four??

I meant PSI.. and its a TEC from O' Reilly's.. the kind that has the metal tube and then the flex hose and then the gauge... I haven't tried oil in the cylinders yet to see if I can bring the compression up..That will have to wait..

littlegreen: Well in short it could be true. Just remember it is more important that they are close to the same reading than what the reading is.it has been gone over a lot here TT had a good write up on it. You did say it ran fine so I would not over analyze it.
