Jeff Latimer here. I have a '77 550F. Live in Richardson. Thought it would be fun to try to get several of us together from time to time. Maybe plan a ride or wrench party if there is any interest.

I realize this could be a really busy time filled with plans for the long 4th of July weekend, but I thought I would give it a whirl anyway. I am going to be at Fuzzy"s Tacos new Garland location, 5125 N President George Bush Hwy., Garland, TX 75040, this Saturday morning for tacos around 8:30am. South side of George Bush, just east of Garland Rd. Bring anyone you like whatever they ride!

Whether you can make it or not this Saturday, shoot me an e-mail with your info if you would like future info on getting together. I'll blind copy the list.

Thanks. ~Jeff

Is there ay interest in trying this again folks?????

Wannbridin? Greenjeans? FastBroshi? Gordon? CoyoteUSP?  Anyone else local that I missed?

There is one in Plano and McKinney as well.

Don't let the name Fuzzy's freak you out if you are not familiar with it (It did me when I first heard it).  It is mexican food and it is not bad at all.

We have all these Honda's, Live so close, Live in/around a large city and we do not do this regularly?  C'mon folks!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Fuzzy's is wonderful! I was just the last customer out of the Richardson location this evening - they close at 10pm. Open at 7am. Not at all hard on the wallet either, leaving more money for fuel and parts!

How 'bout you choose a date and time, Rick, and lets see who shows? The Richardson and McKinney shops are nicer than the Plano and Garland locations, imo. The McKinney location has that big west facing patio that is great in the morning during the warm months and has the advantage of major solar gain in the afternoons during the cool (yes, it will get cool again!) months. ~Jeff

I'm definitely down for it.  Used to meet up twice a month with the guys in Denver, but that was before my wife and I had two kids.  Childcare and a job that doesn't have a regular schedule make it very difficult to do things like this.  Name the time and place and I'll be there if I can. :)  Friday and Saturday evenings are usually good for me, but there's no guarantee.

I would love something like this, but Garland is an hour away and McKinney is OMG far!

True, but I used to work in Denton.  Still a hike, from there, but I have a 30 minute drive just to make that hike now.

Well I'll be gone Saturday afternoon about 2 for an out of town wedding.  I MIGHT be able to make it work, I'm not sure yet though.

I'm in Bedford, so garland is a bit of a hike for me too...  Let me know what time y'all decide on and I'll see what I can do!

This sounds like we could do it guys.  CBGhia I think you're the farthest away.  Maybe we could do the Plano locale this time and then something closer to you next time?    I seem to remember some place out in Watauga that advertises like crazy and thinking it would be a good place to meet up.
I still work nights, Sun-Thurs, so anything this Friday or Saturday would be good for me.

Shall we shoot for this weekend?  Hopefully this is enough notice.  Maybe switch locations if we decide to keep doing this as Gordon suggested?  Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch?

The weather looks to be good this weekend.  At least that is what it says.  http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/McKinney+TX+75070

This weekend is all about the ninth annual DFW Ride for Kids for many of us, Rick! And we are serving tacos! Why not post a rendezvous for all the metromess riders to meet - like at Bass Pro Shop parking lot, 8:30am Sunday and ride in as a group?

Anyone interested in volunteering and doing the ride too would need to attend one of our two training sessions, Thursday at 7:30pm or Saturday at 10am. Day of event volunteers need to be at the ride start/finish point at Grapevine Mills Mall at 7am Sunday morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed! Anyone with an interest in volunteering, please e-mail me, Jeff(takethisout)Latimer@mac.com for more info.

It will be a long shot if Kevin shows up, but Ronnie, the guy next to Kevin behind my 550F at the Houston R4K, is making the trip up from Houston the maiden voyage on his fresh restoration of his Tracy 750! He is doing his first miles on the street today, I believe. Bone, box stock with 32K miles on the clock, she dyno'd at 55.46 hp and 79.47 foot pounds torque. Ended up with 130 jets, says Ronnie.

Please forgive the lousy camera phone shot from Ronnie, but this will give you an idea of what you will see this weekend at the ride. http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/events/2011/dallas-fortworth.html Very family friendly event! Done by 1pm, promise! ~Jeff

So what are we doing folks?  This thread stays toooooo quiet!

Hey Jeff, does the event cost us to attend?  I think the site said it does.

Crap, sorry Tipper, I totally missed your post asking about this weekend.  I got sidetracked by Jeff's photos up there.   I can't this weekend, and I'm going to the rally next week.
