New site I found... Caferacers.com
« on: June 30, 2011, 11:05:11 AM »
Link: http://www.caferacers.com/

Anyone know what the story is with this site?
I found it and it allows you to pre-register for the launch of the site... Doesnt really say much about what the site is going to do.
Curious to see what comes of it... and if anyone knows the story/person behind it?

Go for it and report back but give yourself a small chuckle when you find out your e-mail address was added to the "Small Asian boys for pleasure" website. :O)

Is it just me? But, didn't there used to be a forum by that name? Is this supposed to be a redo of THAT? Or just something to draw you in?  ???

Ah, okay, I see. I hadn't been to that forum in quite awhile. I thought they were doing SOME good stuff, but I found it kinda odd myself, that they would mod things like a TS125 into a Cafe Racer. I guess, to each his own, but I'd personally be wanting to do something of at least a 250 or 350 Twin or bigger. But then, that's just ME and I'm not trying to say anything against reworking a smaller bike. I DO agree that the mods should be for Function AND some for style as well.

I believe you did not quite get the concept at caferacer.net. They are against doing stupid things to your bike, like making it look like cafe racer without actually improving its performance.

If it works good, it looks good...
