In leiu of XXXX I guess the old NT draught isn't a bad substitute, definatly far and away better than VB

Actually mate, XXXX is quite a popular beer here in Darwin.
The boxes with 30 cans are a winner.
The Vic beer is still and always has been big in the drinkers market.
VB is nowhere near as popular as it use to be back in the 80's and a lot of people have switched over to light beer now.
The drinking culture has changed a lot here over the years from the old wild days.

Oh I see, actually I bought some of that VB beer last year, I bravely drank my way through the first dozen cans but then I realised I was poisoning myself so it sat in the fridge for months before I used it to clean the toilet bowl....seriously mate that stuff is p1ss water!
Give me a Tui or Speights any day.

We've got another nasty one as well mate with a green label.
It's called Southwark - South Australian beer.
My Dad used to drink it and now I know why.
Nobody else would go near the stuff and it is/was affectionately called "Green Death" 
It took a brave man to drink it.
The devils hangover was guaranteed after a session on that gear.
It was meaner than cats p1ss. 
These are the dangerous ones to watch out for if you come for a visit.
