CB750F/F2 Manuals
« on: May 01, 2006, 11:11:29 AM »
Hi guys,
I'm busy trying to get my 1976 CB750 back on the road, it's been laid up while I have been working overseas for the past 10 years.
My Haynes manual only deals with the CB750F/F2 models superficially, is there a dedicated manual for the F/F2 out there ? Is the Clymer version better ?
I still have the original Honda manual for my first CB750 (1970) and it is very thorough, was there a genuine Honda manual and if so is it available ?

Cheers

Honda added supplement chapters to the original manual for model changes through the years.

The entire manual and the supplements can be purchased at:

I've had many problems with my 78 750F and the Clymers manual has been very helpful. The layout is a bit confusing sometimes as it will show a procedure or diagram then show a slightly different version for the F a few pages later. Whatever info I could't find in that manual, I found on this website.  8)

Go to the FAQ section on this site and look in the "Manuals FAQ" section. You will find a downloadable K8/F3 manual that will cover the F2 model(77-78). There is a F1 parts book that has exploded diagrams also. The 75-76 750F has many differences to the F2 models so a different manual will be needed. I think there is a  K0-K7 shop manual in the FAQ as well and though it may not cover your rear disk brake( among other things ) there are enough similarities between the K6 and F1 to make it helpful.

The best I've found for the '76 F model is the Honda Shop Manual with supplements for each model year. Thanks for the link, TT.

Hi again, just tried the shortcut to the 1978 CB750 manuals, started to order the manual until the total came up, note I live in the UK not Mars:
$36 manual
$143 shipping
$25 handling
WOW, also when I tried to send an E mail questioning this the E mail was bounced back saying that the recipients had been blacklisted.

No wonder !

Oh my... :o

Perhaps if you remove the check in the box that says "Private jet delivery"? :D

Handling was $5 to California.  But, they charged me a tax, too!  I guess they have offices in California.  $43.97 total charge.

Feel like adding postage from California to the UK?  I don't know what that is, though.

Or, perhaps someone on the east coast US could send it to you at lesser rate?

Watch on eBay. I bought a very clear re-print of the cb400f manual from an US company. It was about £20 including postage. Sorry I can't remember his name but his ads always show the manuals with a bright plain colour cover.
