I have similar feelings about a CBR 600RR forum.  There were a handful of "richards" that kind of just made it a crappy place.  Well, more than a handful of richards, actually.  Not a nice place.

(By the way, no offense to anyone named Richard - I was just using that instead of dick.)   :D

Your reaction to the first comment, and then your continuous juvenile insults and tantrum is what caused and perpetuated that waste of ten pages.  Not the fact that they didn't like your seat.

If I were to act like that on one internet forum I sure wouldn't go advertising the evidence and linking to it on other forums I'm an active member of.

Like one guy said on the first page, is this a joke?

I only read the first page and now I have tears in my eyes from laughing.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I have tears in my eyes from that forum design!  :o Ugh.

Epic thread btw.

I dig the seat, I do, but at the same time, if you ask some random guy on the street, they'll say it looks bad.

Why?
Because from a professional upholsterer's standpoint, it isn't the best. The fabric doesn't fit the seat perfectly.

Does that mean it's bad? No.
Like I said, I dig it. My brother's 2up on his R6 was made from some fabric with cats on it. Why? Because it's awesome, and who cares what other people think.

But no worries man, I go and read CF for the crazy builds and the style choices, not for the grammatical content. Pretty much every bike on there has a goofy headlight fairing and a single-sided swingarm from some other bike... I never understood the whole "lets buy a GSXR600, then put a GSXR1000 engine in it and a swingarm from a Honda VFR" thing. I understand getting custom. I don't understand buying a new 600cc bike and swapping in a liter engine, like you just couldn't find the liter bike to begin with or the frames are that much different.

i know it makes me look bad without any back story. ive shared many projects on both sohc4 and CF and CF is always negative and insulting. im done with them. only reason i joined was a buddy of mine suggested it for the tech help. and ive never posted a need thread. noone here has made me that pissy repeatedly or at all that i can think of

I think that's because, ultimately, we are mostly adults, whereas CF seems to cater more towards a more juvenile user base.

Ok whats the point?  you want validation for your work?
mostly i find that if you are honest about everything on the internet things go better.
What i mean is you need to be honest about what you have and what it really is.  And you cant just expect to be praised.
Ive never been on CF but it looks like any other forum, some good some bad and some posers....its the internet.

Not really sure what you wanted them to say?  you posted a pic of your bike on a fighter forum....your bike isnt a fighter...remember that being honest thing...
The seat really does look like who did it and ran at least to me.  but maybe im nuts...i HATE the fuller bike and think that anyone buliding something called a "brat" is trying to justify riding a parts bike with no seat.  so you dont like my opinion?  tuff its the internet and you posted.

if you like your seat then go and like it. dont get hurt that others dont.  and sure as hell dont tell people off on a forum that they are all close and not expect 15 pages of comments.

Didn't Jesus say something like this yadda, yadda in the temple?

This man should clearly be adored, not scorned!!

My god that was the funniest thread I have read in a while. I am still laughing at:

"Don't get all pissy that your bike looks like you strapped some Floridian retiree to the frame and named him Seat."

This thread is mildly funny because you are here whining about your ass getting served over there (which you kinda deserved).

And your seat looks like a 5 year old tried to wrap a guey duck up as a Christmas present.....

not really. You could tie the shirt on there..or upholster the back of the rest with it. would be sweeet. Maybe put a brass knuckle at the top of the seat.

Hey SKAM, it happens with the comments... Do not get pissed but I never looked at your seat until you posted this thread.. It made me laugh in a humurous way though.. Kinda reminds me of a mixture of Sponge Bob and his friend Patrick.... But I am glad you take pride in your bike.. MY 550F is ugly with CUSTOM painted daisies on the tank..
