All four bikes are awesome. That was a really tough decision. Bakeoff, your build inspired me to sign up for welding classes.

^ love the old scanned  pics!!^

Seeing as im a new comer to bikes, unfortunately i dont have any awesome old poloroids or anything of me next to my first bike back in the day like Rookster..  I can try to give a little back story as to how i got the bike and stuff though for sure..

A very good buddie of mine aquired this bike I'd say about 4 or 5 years ago now and at the time i was renting garage space with a couple friends and offered to let him keep it there till he was ready to do something with it. I had always thought it was just a neat little bike and kinda had the feeling that someday I would end up buying it.

Fast foward a couple years and I had moved out of the shop i was in and hadnt seen the bike in a long while. It was still being stored at the old shop though and one night i got a call from the kid i would eventually buy it from asking if i could help him load it into a truck and move it to his new house. So we dug it out of the corner it was buried in  and rolled it outside.  That was the first time i got to actually sit on it and really check it out..  I totally fell in love but at the time i just wasnt in the place to take on another project as i was up to my ears in a car build.  Once we dropped it off at his house there it sat for another year or so untill I finally pulled the trigger on it..

this is what she started out as..pretty ruff for sure, and def not too pretty :P

ill stop there for now and add more over the next couple days for sure  :)

dude I can't believe you got rid of that awesome chicken on the tank.

I'm voting for you anyway.

didn't you try and sell this bike at one point?

or, as the ivy league-educated members of genteel new england society would say: would you fellows be so kind as to have the task at hand completed without delay?
