Front fender -CB750 -correct installation?
« on: May 08, 2006, 05:07:17 AM »
Hi all,
The topic of how to correctly install the front fender and brake caliper came up at the weekend. When installing the fender should it be next to the fork leg (on the brake caliper side) then caliper spacer on the outside nearest the wheel....so fork-fender-spacer? Or should it be fork-spacer-fender? The latter would place the fender nearest the wheel. It will fit both ways but I have a feeling that one way may be more correct for front brake operation. Anyone know for sure?

A. Wheel....spacer.....fender.....fork

or

B. Wheel....fender.....spacer.....fork

Thanks,
Andy in Boston

Andy - off topic - would like to see / hear more about the seat on your bike (in your avatar).  I'm planning on building a similar seat for my 550.  Any pics you could send would be welcomed as I plan my design.

Thanks khghost thats what I was thinking...

Tintin....you can see more photos of the seat in the Gallery section -if you want I can take some of just the seat if it helps. Let me know. I got the seat off German Ebay (where they come up every now and again -mine cost 110 euros...Ive seen white ones with gold lettering which look very cool)....looks like someone customized it a little as the seat pan is not quite stock. Good stitching patten on it though. Thats about all I know about it. Hope it helps.

Cheers
