Yoshima's Rocket from Big Bike Magazine July 1976 Fixed!?
« on: September 02, 2011, 05:15:06 PM »
Here's a fun article that came with the bike I just aquired. Apologies if already posted.
There's also an ad page hawking a log carb solution to the quad carb "complexity"...does anyone actually run one?? If so...does it work.

See photos in more recent post.  I finally got them to where you can actually read them.

Yeah, I've got a log manifold here, and eventually I'll fit a 42mm or 45mm Mikuni carb to it and try it out. Not because I think that four carbs are too complicated, I just wanna see how well it'll work. Cheers, Terry.  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

OK, I bite.  What is an "Injector Carburetor"?  Isn't that an oxymoron?

Good article to post up -Go you 400 guys.  I really like those old adds also and find them informational in identifying old parts etc and the old prices. If you run across any more adds for 750 stuff please post a pic.  Thanks.

Instead of POSA, they should have called it POS. ;) It was basically a calibrated leak...
Look again at the ad for the 750 big bore kit; it was offered by A.P.E. ;D

Posa was the company that produced the Lake Injector carbs back in the day. It’s a slide carb design without a float or jets. They are not an injector by any definition. They used a “D” shaped needle to control fuel flow which was adjusted with a screwdriver.
