The Yosh titanium 4/1 exhaust arrived from Japan this morning.
Total weight of the whole system with exhaust clamps is 4.2 kgs and the quality is brilliant.

There's going to be some overtime at work now to cover this unless the missus finds out first and does me in. 
Next on the wish list is a "K" style seat which are available ex Japan and they have a lot more padding than the seat that Honda fits to the bike from the factory.
It's a real arse cruncher after a few hundred miles.

I’d like to get this fitted up over the weekend if time allows.

It does allow for the centre stand to be retained, and Yoshimura have supplied a hardware kit with the system for this.
The factory centre stand stop is a small bracket attached to the base of the existing muffler with a rubber buffer and the Yosh megaphone doesn't have this.
In the hardware kit, there is a newly designed "stop" bracket with rubber buffers, spacers and all of the mounting bits and pieces.

Yoshimura have designed and manufactured this whole setup perfectly and have supplied everything that is needed from start to finish.

The instructions to mount the new centre stand stop bracket are written in Japanese so I’ll have to nut this one out as I go along.

Once everything is together, I’ll put some more photos up.

Well I got it fitted up last night and finished off the final "trimming" today.

It was a bit of a fiddly job fitting up the new centre stand stop bracket which took up most of the time, and certainly hasn't been designed for busted fat fingers but perseverance won it over.

As you'll see, I won't be getting Steven Spielberg's job in a hurry, but the neighbours rooster doesn't like the noise so it's definately had the desired effect.

Absolutely beautiful. After buying a new exhaust for the first time on my bike, I can really appreciate it when a company sends you all the mounting hardware, instructions, and a product that fits the way it should.  My cat didnt like the the bikes audio either

Now if we could just get them to make some for the old 750..........it's bad enough we can't get the 1100 on this side of the pond and now a beautiful exhaust like that comes out. What does that system cost? I'm sure it will be 1K plus.

This one shows the Yoshimura system for the SOHC 750.

They certainly aren't a cheap aquisition but the quality is exceptional.

I was quite surprised to see the list of accessories that are available for the CB1100 and I'm guessing that there must be quite a big market for these bikes in Japan.
As far as I know, mine is the only one here in Darwin and I don't know what their popularity is like in other parts of Oz.

Hopefully they will become available on the United States market because they are a cracker of a machine.
They are resonably priced, and although they don't have neck snapping power, they are a great bike to ride.

Thats not even the titanium pipe and they want $1800.............WOW!! They also had other products like a set of Mikuni's for $3000....piston kit for $1016 and a cam for a measely $1563 !!!!!! This is crazier pricing than HD!!!!!

I know what exactly what you mean about the crazy pricing mate, and some of those parts wouldn't even be a consideration with those price tags.

You guys have got it pretty well wrapped up in the US with parts for the SOHC 750's.

Some of the prices for parts that are asked for here in Aust are just right off of the planet too.
I bought a genuine oil filter for the CB1100 on Saturday morning from the local Honda shop and that was nearly 30 bucks while the same genuine filter from the US or GB is approx 1/3 of that price.

And they tell us to buy local.
That's all well and good and I support the idea, but the buck has to stop somewhere.

I bit the bullet and got a new seat which arrived today.
It's based on the 750 K seat design and really has made a huge difference to this bike.

The rider comfort has improved out of sight, and being perched just a little bit higher gives that extra bit of "feel" over the machine.

Design and quality are both good with a leather finish that should last with some care.

There isn't the Honda logo on the back of it, but the opposition will be too far back to see it anyway.

I really do need to now mate. 
Been putting in quite a few 7 day working weeks without much time off so this could happen.

The exhaust and seat were the 2 things that I've been really wanting to change for a while now and it's transformed the bike to how I wanted it to be.

Last Monday I was speaking to one of the guys at Honda World in Adelaide and he was saying that these CB1100's haven't been a big mover for them which surprised me a bit.
His opinion was that the majority of people in the bike market these days either want cheap bikes or sports bikes and that's the reason why.
Everyone to their own I guess.

They do, just not in the state . Triumph has a few as well as ducati. And probably a few others I cant think of at the moment. Itll happen though. The whole retro thing will come in full force im sure. Look at the cafe scene. Old bikes are in.

I've been thinking the same thing about these exhausts for the 750.

In the meantime, I decided to see what the comparison was between the CB1100 and the CB750 SOHC head pipes and I think that the Ti Yosh will go close.

Here is a photo of the CB1100 head pipes up against a set of CB750 SOHC head pipes.
The spacing between 2 and 3 is close enough to 140mm on both.
1 /2 & 3/4 on the CB1100 is close on 90mm and the CB750 is 85>88mm.



With the collector being a separate part, there's probably a good chance for this to go together on the CB750.



Here is an F clamp against a Yosh clamp (for the CB1100) and there's about .5mm difference in overall spacing between the stud holes.





The spigot diameters are so close as well.
This is a K spigot for comparison.



When I get a bit of time, I'll take the Yosh system off of the CB1100 and see if it will fit up to a 750.
I think that it will go pretty close.

You don't have to convince me Mick, when I bought the Triumph, I priced a Jardine "Big Boss" pipe, from Melbourne Triumph it was $2200, I bought it online from a company in the US and got it for $1200.00 including airmail shipping and a free T shirt. The Progressive 440 shocks were $1300 from the Oz distributor, or $690 including postage from the US.

The genuine Triumph clock and fuel gauge (I was missing my BMW when I bought them) were $700.00 from Melbourne Triumph, or $400.00 from a dealer in the US, including postage. My Powercommander III USB and K&N filter were $800.00 from Melbourne Triumph, or $550 from a US dealer.

I just can't believe that the recommended retail in Oz is around double the recommended retail in the US, so as far as I'm concerned, I'll continue to buy from the US and Aussie bike shops can suck my hairy balls...................
