Thought I'd share this with all. It was sent via email by a VJMC rep out of MA
Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Show
June 3, 2006, Lars Anderson Museum of Transportation, Brookline, MA
About the Lars Anderson museum event: Its in Brookline June 3rd. Lars Anderson transport museum is an unbelievable place. Check it out on the web. Its also a super beautiful venue for this lawn event. The museum is holding the event for Japanese bikes this year for the first time. They have 32 events over the summer. I will be representing the VJMC who is the proud sponsor of the
important event. I hope we can see all the New England Reps there and anyone who can make it member or not. This event is open to the public. The events director has told me that they have been hosting a European bike day for 12 years and they get 400 concourse bikes and 1200 to 1400 European bikes total. She expects our event to be bigger than that in the next few years. We have been given a date in the best possible weather for New England and I hope we can earn that slot in the future as well.
Please alert all your state members and interested persons to this event. We need it to be a success so that we can have it here next year and in the future, It will be super to have something like this in the Northeast.
There will be vendors there for anyone interested. There are two vendor areas. One near the Concourse bikes for $50 and one down in the non concourse bike area that Will be more like a flea market. The flea market space is $20 or $25. Admission is a very nominal $10 fee and includes museum admission a goodie bag and a chance at a trophy or trophies. I believe Lars has the largest collection of original unrestored exotic cars in America and are well respected worldwide.
This is a major event at a world respected venue, however I suspect that we need to make a good showing to be invited back next year. I do want this event to continue up here in our neck of the woods. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new things and show off your bike regardless of condition.
