Topic: Who sells the Gordon's frame kit?

Hello all.
I bought one of them from a member here. The kit works so well that I would like to use it on another two bikes. I tried to contact Hednut, who sold me the kit last time, but I couldn't. Do you know if anybody sells them now?

Someone has to make them, or have them made, before they can be sold. Therein lies the rub.

Hednut did a great job, but its often thankless. Shopping for a machinist, bickering over price, coming out of pocket timewise and money too i think, having confirmed buyers back out on him, etc. Burned out, don't blame him.

But a classified in "parts wanted". I've seen them come up once in a while.

IIRC the frame was roughly 1" diameter tubing.

Couple of 'D' section pieces should be easy enough to make?
 Counter bore one for Allen head bolts and thread the other side so it becomes round when bolted together.
 Only need to know inside diameter of frame tube to turn spigot on ends

 I had offered to make them before. As I said I would have to do 5 or 10 sets and have some comittment for a few of them.
 Also do not want to do this if someone else is already supplying them.. So if Hednut is  out as far as doing these, let me know.

Lots of things will work. Carpy and CycleX have kits of their own design.

But nothing is as robust (or expensive) as the Gordon Kit.

Realizing that many ran without the rails at all. I ran for 15 years and 50,000 hard miles with the APE kit (no longer available) most like the current Carpy kit.

Better to have interlocking "V" sections rather than flats on the "D"....that is what we did. Very soild connecting points

I know I would be a buyer of one, as long as the quality was high and the price reasonable.
