I had that same bracket that came with my 550.  I did not need to use that one, I used the other one--they include both cause you might need one or the other.  I'll get you a pic

The circled bracket is a center stand stop so it won't hit the drive chain.
 The stock mufflers have the center stand stop built in to them.
