How is the engine?
normally i would handle that first .. but this time around for some reason ... i'm doing all the mock up first (it's more fun
)
so really have no clue at all how the engine is... i can tell ya it has pretty good compression , but that about all i know at this point
so last week me and my boy went on a mission , we traveled north, deep in to the middle of freakin nowhere wisconsin , to meet up with member Hoodellyhoo . so i could take one CL450 with not bent forks off of his hands ... as soon as the offer was made , and i looked at the photos of the parts bike , i was all over it ....i HAD to have the drum front wheel .
so my All Balls stem bearings finally came yesterday , so i spent most of last night slapping all that mess together
i'm pretty stoked , i'm really loving the direction this build is going , it's very different from what i usually do ... ya gotta mix it up some times, ya know
the linkage is still raw steel , originally i was gonna paint it , but seeing it on there raw, i might just clear coat it
i'm gonna use the CL450 gauges , cuz they're alot smaller and i dig the dummy lights in the faces, but i wanna keep the ignition on the dash.. so i'm using the 500T top tree .... so i had to heavily modify the gauge mount , and the end result i'm not all that happy with ... thinkin i'm gonna go back in and cut about a half inch out of it so the gauges sit a little lower , and closer the ignition mount ... so it's nice and tight
