Can you reroute them bud? Maybe go through the triple or the opposite side then bring it under the frame to the proper side?

if you have a salvage yard nearby... Very often the larger Honda bikes cables all have the same ends on them and the only differences are length, color (mostly black, some grey) and the placement of the anti abrasion sheaths (who cares?).

Our salvage guy, hangs all the cables up on a rack and you can take yours and just hold it up till you find one you want a little shorter.  Your problem is that the 350F was probably the shortest cable anyway. Maybe the 400F is shorter with a lower bar?

Are all Honda's have the same ends? I would think the of the 4's the 350 would have the shortest cables, I wonder if a small single or twin would be shorter.  With the clipon's the cables are way too long.

I know for example, I've put clutch cables from 500s on 750s, same ends. I have a grey tach cable on my 750. Must be from a different bike as 750 cables are all black. The grey one is shorter and routed more precisly than stock.

Very possibly the twins like 360/350 are the same ends too, but likely not short enough for you. That's why having a whole bunch in one place like a salvage yard would be good. But maybe the CB100/175 would work and they would be shorter probably. My salvage yard does not take bikes below 350cc.

The 400 four from 75-76 would have shorter cables due to the lower narrower handlebars.  All my 400's have the tanks on but if you want I can get you the overall length of the cables...Larry

Photo that would be awesome if you could get the length. I don't have a salvage yard within 300mi of here.  I guess worst case would be go the Motion Pro route (100 bucks for both throttle and one clutch cable) or build my own by buying the ends and shortening the housing.  I'm worried about the ends on breaking off though.

Since you won't be getting used cables from a salvage yard, would a new CB400F cable be less than motionpro? Might find used on eBay I guess.

Also the risk that you'll mis-measure for MotionPro. I ordered some for my project and they were too short, my fault. Had to eat them and order more.  I'll find a home for them someday.

Best measurement I can get with a tape measure is 31" for the throttle cables and 40 for the clutch-those are the outer length of course.  Hope that helps...Larry
