750k swingarms?
« on: November 21, 2011, 10:08:35 PM »
Ok so i'm sure this has been asked before but i can't find it and I have to go to bed. Are all K swingarms the same? Can i put a 77 swinger in a 73? Picking one up tomorrow am and don't want to waste the dough.

77-78 are wider at the back.  Fronts are the same width.

It can be done but you would need:
-sprocket carrier from a 77-78 as it is about 8-10mm wider to accommodate the extra width for the swingarm
-offset front sprocket from CycleX
This gets everything lined up.

There are lots of earlier swingarms available so why not just get one of those.

The 77-78k are around 3 inches longer than the earlier models.

Thanks Guys  :)  I have a complete 77 with no title. Picking up a 73 frame with title but no swinger. He might have an extra swinger but was hoping to save time and cash today by not buying one.
