1977 CB550 - Front Caliper
« on: December 07, 2011, 11:46:30 AM »
I discovered the front caliper housing is not worth restoring and am looking for alternative.

I am going to replace the master cylinder with an aftermarket one but I am having a hard time figuring out what caliper would work on the stock fork with no modification.

My caliper is currently in front of the fork. I have seen many having the caliper behind the fork. Is it just a matter of flipping the fork and everything works?

Thank you

You should re-post this in the SOHC/4 Bikes forum.

This forum (CB750A) doesn't get a lot of non-automatic traffic.
1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.
