I'm an electrical engineer doing military research. Only 3.5 years into my career, I feel like a retired student (five years at Georgia Tech will do that to you). No wife, kids, or girlfriend = more $$ for the Honda.

They will be crying when they are paying it off. I attended and cried each month I made that payment. Finished the payments a few months ago, they started in '94.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

For the last 21 years I've been a film/tv editor. Worked at Paramount, Warner Bros. NBC Disney, Fox Sports A&E TLC ESPN and more.  Ive been really lucky that I love my what I do so it's never felt like work.

Glad you didn't say SyFy, that would be terrible if you did.  :)

I think I win for school debt.  Medical school debt blows.  And that was with my wife working full time to support me throughout.

I'm a non-starving artist.

By day, I do IT/Software Testing/Support/Documentation/Fixing Things That Plug In/Making the Email Work/Etc Etc

After work I'm a jewelry artist/metalsmith.  I cut stones and make stuff out of silver, and do some blacksmithing here and there.

One day I hope to make a living from my artwork, but until then it's just a hobby that actually makes me some money. :)
