The engine close-up of Aurelia B20's 500 is spectacular.

+1.... not much scenery, but man, is it beautiful. Just enough "In yur face" factor, but still elegant 8) 8)

Ujeni's iPhone pic looks like it could've been on a poster at the dealership.. it's PERFECT!

In my opinion it is one of the best pictures so far. If I'm allowed to make a little comment, stopping the bike a few feet forward would have left the gutter out of the picture. And maybe leaving a little more space between the tail light and the left margin.

At least he took care to put gloves and helmets out of sight!

I disagree. Leaving the road ahead in the picture suggests that the bike is warm, possibly still running and ready to see what's around the next curve.

It's perfect.

When do we vote Andy?   :-*

When I get round to organizing all the photos  ;)

Ahhh, I see.  Take your time I am particularly enjoying this months fabulous example of a CB550 so I will continue to look at that until we get the 2014 calendar!  ;D

What I meant is that the picture could have been taken just a few feet ahead, with the very same composition and orientation, enough to leave the roadside cover -for watever it is, light, gas or water- out of the picture. The general idea of the picture would have been kept. When I take pictures in the open road I try to avoid electricity posts, traffic signs, armco barriers, and in general any man-made thing except the road. Doing so accentuates the solitude of the road.
Last year my picture was chosen for january. The bike was standing in the middle of the road. You can't do that unless the road is indeed little travelled. That's what I meant about the picture trying to evoque solitude and far-away places where you travel with your bike.

Just trying to put my two cents worth. And no worries about pictures taken with phones! Modern phones have cameras with better quality than 5-year-old compact cameras!

While you're at it speedwolf,  get rid of the trees behind the left handlebar so that side doesn't get lost in the horizon line

Man, i wish I were that good at photoshop!!!

we can turn this thread into the "photoshop-yay or nay" debate. You may have heard about the pulitzer-winning picture that was touched with photoshop, that of the palestinian burial...

So, what do you prefer? The original picture? Or the touched picture?

Update: unfortunately due to my tardiness we dont have time to vote on calendar photos. Instead I have assembled all the photos squeezing as many as possible into each page but still trying to keep it look good. There is a "theme" for many of the months which Ill leave to the purchaser to figure out (its not hard ;)).

Sending PMs today to all those who got selected. Please send as high-res as possible to my email address - see PM, as soon as possible so I can do final assembly. Thanks to all those who submitted and sorry if your photo wasnt selected - it was a very tough choice this year but I have included as many as possible!

Remember ALL proceeds go to the SOHC website/forum.

Cheers
Andy

Just exceeded 10 PMs in one hour so please wait! ;)

~30 photos make it in this year due to using a tiling format of 3 photos per page for most (not all) months.

cheers

No problem Stev-o just sorry for being late this year. I think I have sent all PMs now so check your inboxes.

Sorry to all those who didnt make the cut and I appreciate all the excellent submissions. It was really a tough choice! For all those with multiple submissions  -in the interest of fairness only one photo per member will be included in the calendar. There are ~30 photos in this years calendar!

Where to buy and how much to follow as soon as I have it all together.

cheers

Before you thank me too much just know that due to many of the months being 3-panel some photos will be larger than others. I think it still looks good but not every photo will be full size/one page only.

Thanks
