Opinion needed on Duro tyres for my CB550k
« on: March 22, 2017, 08:45:53 PM »
Looking to buy both tyres, would not want to spend a lot as bike will not be used much. Riding season of being no more than 4 moths here in Ontario and travelling it leaves me with not much riding between two scoots.

I have seen some tyres called Duro, anyone used these? rating seams to be 5*
Cheers,

Not really a favorite here.

Shinko are the cheapest yokohama tire you can get.

Bridgestone s11's are $120/ea and worth it.

They are a cheap tire, look good if the bike is for a quick sale. I have used them on a 750 and the rear wore out very quickly. If I remember at that time a front and rear was around $80.00 for the pair.

What size? There are plenty of cheaper tires that are decent.

Duro = CCC  [cheap chinese crap]  IRC is a good budget tire and made in Japan.

Dunlop, Avon and Bridgestone [BT45] are all excellent tires.

I just bought a Continental for my Kaw, looks great but was disappointed to find out they are now made in Korea [originally made in Germany]

I am very loyal to Continental for many years for all my cars. Have not had any chance to have them on bikes every before. I normally replaced bike tyres at Harley dealer (dont even recall which brand). Will look for Contis here in Ontario for my CB. Thanks for directions.

I just purchased some Contis for my new project.  Nice sticky performance tires.  I didn't know they were now made in Korea.
