I gave my Grandson a demonstration on how to do a cartwheel (the gymnastics type)............it didn't end well!

still running 2 miles a day...but it seems to take longer for some reason (bad knees)
Hard to believe I was pacing guys 1/2 my age at the last referee fitness tests last year.

Done that for my daughter when I was 43. Pinched a nerve and still feel it every so often, 13 years later.

I gave one to my next-door neighbor's kid. He said it was too small to see on his smartphone, though.

I've found that Duplicolor engine paint covers them for at least a week!

Montana and Nevada had no speed limits out in the middle of nowhere other than the reasonable and prudent thing until the national speed limit in the '70s stopped the fun. Although even then you didn't get speeding tickets for going over 55, just some kind of "energy wasting" citation for something like 5 bucks. The national speed limit went away in the '90s and Montana didn't have one again for a few years, until the late '90s when they were imposed again on rural highways. The speed limits are generous most places and enforcement is light in many places, but there is always the presence of wildlife to consider. And those roads aren't exactly in the autobahn class in construction.

I have to add this one. You know you are getting old when you wash your beloved Flip Phone in your jeans. Yes it was put to death by my own hands, I do most of the laundry since retiring. Your Wife takes to you to phone store because under no circumstances are you going to live without a phone as I was perfectly content to do. You stand in the store in the store, 6'4" 250 pounds of pure technology ignorance as the electronic tablet carrying, smug, condescending, little smart people try to explain the best phone to bring you out of the primordial ooze where you had been existing happily for years. You end up with a phone that is a hell of a lot smarter than you are, a phone bigger than a ham sandwich, (Flipper was so happy living in my jeans pocket), a phone that you can never turn off, a phone that has at least 100 times the electronic features of my Motor Guzzi California Touring and I just got the friggin riding mode dialed in on that, and a phone that you are know will never live up to its fullest potential in your possession. Lord give me strength, tomorrow I am going to try a text on that tiny little key board with these 71 year old arthritic sausage fingers....

I showed the grandkids how to make a kite from leftover stuff around the house and went to the park to fly it. Long story short, I was running back because I realized we had gone over the street, the wind slowed and there was a truck coming. I stepped in a hole, fell backwards and my cell popped out of it's holster and went right in the pond. I swear. The kite went up.
A kite made from string, a Christmas tree bag, yardsticks, hot glue and fishing line cost me $400. The story three grandkids had to tell their Mom and Dad, priceless.

Lots of carriers will still carry a flip phone...but they all want to sell you a data plan, even if you don’t ever use it...

Texas still has 85 mph in sections of the country...

You know you are getting old when you say Ohh, or oow every time you go to get up or down. When getting off the floor is no longer a simple affair.
