Good to see someone putting the hump where it should be & where it actually does its job; stopping the rider shifting backwards under acceleration.

Thanks...

It will definitly keep me from sliding back. its just barely up against my butt when i sit on it. so its got enough room to be comfortable but still do its job.

Bike looks great. What are you using for headlight brackets? I really like the way you have it set up. I couldn't tell from the pics what brackets you used. any info or pics would be great.

Some love it... some either hate it or are jealous of it... I just tell myself its the latter..... I think most people in college nowadays (AKA my generation) dont know how to appreciate old things.... I grew up always taking old stuff and turning it into cool stuff that none of my friends had. I never wanted something that everyone else had because well... that would make me just like everyone else...... but unfortunately, most of my generation has been taught that the only way to fit into the world and be looked at as "cool" is to have the newest of everything (phones, computers, clothes, cars, houses, etc.....) i dont know... i always grew up not caring that i wasnt as "cool" as those other kids... because while they are all "cool" on their matching stock GSXRs, CBRs, etc... whenever i pull up in between them, the CB gets all the looks because it breaks the mold.....

so to ultimately answer your question... those that know about older bikes love it... those that ride sport bikes just to be cool hate it... everyone else just trys to figure out what it is......

cheers,
Justin

Having something you built with your own hands is cool...the rest are just wannabe's and poseurs, IMHO.

I'm sure they're nice guys, but they just don't know... :-\

True.... I am on the hunt for a modern bike that I can get and turn into my own that wont be like what everyone else has... I am about to get married next year and we are graduating this semester. so getting a house and all my tools back will happen pretty soon. That means that I can tear this bike apart and do what I REALLY want to do to it. so I want to find a nice reliable daily driver to use while this bike is down for a while...

i'm sure i've probably asked this already but with my horrible memory and no desire to read back through all 7 pages of this thread i thought i'd just ask, what exhaust is that? i really like the lines and angle it's at
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

Bucky, i think... and dont quote me on this... but i think its a Mac 4-1.... I like the lines of it as well.. I also like the sound of it with no baffle in it....

I just got done wrapping it and painting the header wrap this past weekend as there were some small pin holes in the primaries.
