Source for non-stock sprockets for a '78 CB750F?

 I want to rev my bike a little lower on those highway runs.  I don't need all of that torque at those speeds.  Any help sourcing or advice on what to install would be great.  I have the stock 14/43 gearing and they are whipped  I have found a 15 front from parts unlimited. but they don't offer any other rears.  My project started as a sprocket change but now the motor is out of the frame and the rest of the bike is in plastic bins.  A rebuild is pending.  I'll post pics when I get to it.

Jcwhitney has em. Hondaparts-direct has em. Bikebandit is where I found my 48 toother when all others were out.
Sounds like you might need all those resources plus maybe westernhillshonda (vintage section?) if your all to pieces and gearing up to go back to gether. Good luck.

If you stay with a new 43, the 15 that you have will gear it a little higher lowering your revs on highway runs.
If it is still to low, go to a 16 front, It's cheaper and easier to keep changing the front sprocket.

Ooooh that's a nice tip Sam; thats one of those why didn't I think of that beofre tips, you might add to that when doing this to keep the front sprocket cover off for easier access, at least then you don't have to take the tranny cover off and toss a gasket everytime.

http://www.jtsprockets.com/48.0.html   They're a little pricey (and alloy) but you can reference what other bikes a certain sprocket fits....then find your best deal elsewhere.

   Actually...the sprocket cover will come off on it's own...with a little finesse. And a few choice words... ;D ;D

I think someone had a tip for filing off a little bit here or there on that sprocket cover to help with removal and installation...

Ok I'm in the same boat too. Just I don't have the bike ripped appart yet. I'm wanting to drop my rpm about 1000 on the highway. I still got stock gears. What would you recomend?  Change the front or rear? To what size? And what chain would I need to run with that setup?

From what Sam stated the front is the easiest and cheapest way to go.
