One of my roommates had an old Jeep in high school with a clutch so stiff that when friends would steal the Jeep (because it would start without a key) they never got more than a couple blocks away because their left leg was unable to continue.

Tim, try running in place while in your chamber... oh, and did you add the crystals?

Update on my time machine:
Tried the crystals, they don't work... they're junk.   However, my mother gave me some 'Drakkar Noir' cologne for Christmas... a couple of sprays of that inside the time capsule seemed to momentarily transport me back to the 80's.

Try the crystals in a DeLorean.
