Rob, I think most of the gains are due to the fact that they are more tunable like many good carbs.
It would be intresting to see what they weigh compaired to a 4 carb set up, they do look nice though.

They are a bid on the heavy side. Will do a comparison weigh. Hear very different comments about these Weber/Dellorto unit, from 'undriveable' to 'best I ever had'. Two very interesting and very fast bikes had them overhere. A 1080 and a 1003cc bigbore units.

IMHO one of the fastest road racing CB's ever, 1080cc of raw power

If the Dels perform as well as my Webers, you will be happy, despite the weight increase! (I believe my Weber setup is about 4 pounds heavier than a stock K7 carb rack, but the scale I used was not very accurate.)

@TG: yes, idea behind it was to give the forearms some rest by taking the weight off.

@Scottly: You have a close up of your setup? What engine do you run them on 750, 836?

@Scunny: These are the oillines covered with insulation. Big oilcooler in nose of the fairing.

I can only quess it had to do with personal preference, I would opt for a less steep angle of the clipons. The pad was only used in the 24 h and not in the shorter races.
