First off.... I am truly HONORED to have my bike in this vote!!! AND I wont feel bad losing to any of these guys! Their bikes are EXCELLENT units thru and thru!!

My bike was budget-minded from the beginning...just moved into a new house...So THRIFTY was key with this slick monkey!!

Bike Purchase Price: $300 with a seized motor, hole in the bottom end, cooked wiring and if it could rust or seize....THUS IT WAS.

Over a year in the making...balancing the bike, wife, house, family, friends, fun and fishing (not necessarily in that order...hehe)

Thanks to everyone who nominated and may even vote for me. It is a honor to be included with some of the nicest bikes anywhere.

I actually started my build, project Crotch Bobber (part crotch rocket part bobber), with a CB500 until I ran across a pretty good deal on a running 1976 CB750.

The only work I didnt perform on the bike was powder coating the frame (because it wont fit in the oven). Whee

List of Mods:
2007 CBR600rr front end
2007 CbR600rr Rear Wheel and Brakes
custom built swingarm to fit rear wheel
Cycle X exposed charging system, Power Up Kit#2(Cam, header, and Power Arc Igniton), 10mm Offset drive sprocket, and oil line adapters
Frame was cut and shortened, rear hoop fabbed up
fabbed up headlight bracket
powder coated the engine (covers, cylinder jug and head)
custom seat pan and cover (I learned to sew just to make it myself)
and a bunch of other stuff I am sure I have forgotten about

The paint is two tone PPG Black and Midnight Blue Pearlcoat I also did a custom logo on the oil tank (a mix of the Honda logos and a spade)

Hey Hednut, you can pick up a hard running, good cornering bagger for less than $3000 these days (they are still 20 years old though). Even seen them down at $1000. See my ride in my sig. Under all that plastic is really just a de-tuned VMAX.

.... I used half a mop bucket and a piece of cardboard to lay the fiberglass for my seat... Cheap'n Goofy...but effective! ahahah

It would be nice to see a solid, quality build win the BOTM contest there. I can't believe a couple of months ago a bike won BOTM there that didn't even run. Totally turned me off to that site.

Nice bikes guys, those rebuild stats just blew me away.
Shoeboxjoe with what you began with and what you fashioned out of it you're getting my vote, I always vote with my heart and think which bike would I want parked in my shed.
I'm a bit of a traditionalist so those stock spokes and forks work for me, nice touches on the clocks too.
Too bad Scunny just finished his 650, it wouldn't look out of place amongst these beautiful creations.
