Wow Brent, the Can Post carrier pigeons must be have 'no flying in bad weather' clause in their contract.  Yes, please just shred the paper work, I've let Hopper know the situation.

Sorry to hear Mosport is out for you this year mate.
It was shaping up as good meeting for you results wise I think.

How is the PI trip looking?
It's probably getting to the stage where I will need to make some changes to the bike If you decide to make the trip.
I will need to change brake setup, the electronic shifter will have to come off and be replaced with the manual setup.
Basically the we need to set the bike up for an able bodied rider again.
I have agreed to sell our B motor to another competitor after PI, but he would like to use it in January, I would not be comfortable if the our bike was not absolutely up to scratch for you and part of that means having the spare motor available.

Cheers,
Brian

Last outing this season is the end of the month (27/28).  The vintage SC's have been invited to a weekend by the F1 / F2 guys.  We get our own race.  Means I won't be looking over my shoulder at the end of the straight for a long bike going tons faster, with better brakes.

Wedding went well Brian.  Horse had a snit fit because he didn't get to go out with his buddies in the morning.  Started to braid him but gave up because he was bouncing all over.  Ended up turning him out, and then bringing him in later, quick wash down, then tacked up.  At which point he became a perfect gentleman. ::)  Really enjoy the carriage driving thing, but the dollars involved makes the cost of racing look nickle & dime.

Yes Brian, would you like me to email you the file(s)?  I have it in MasterCam 9.2, and in AutoCad for water jet cutting.  Note that I did make changes after to the upper pivot hole, and the gear shift rod locations.  But you could have those left uncut and just drill your own to suit.

Hummm.....let's see, the truck has been in the shop for 3 weeks waiting for parts to fix the R/F suspension.  So currently I don't have a tow vehicle. :(  Bike has been ready since before Mosport.  Just had to change the the sprocket for Shanny, which was done 2 weeks ago.  Oh and I've had some kind of flu, chest infection that doesn't want to end.  Other than that everything is just peachy Brian. ::)  Figure if I can get  the bike there, I'll just start at the back of the grid, and go have some fun.

Nothing much happening with the Fiddaman at the moment.

If you can get there, how about qualifying on the front row.
Then go out and kick some arss.
That will be even more fun.

Sounds like you need some motivation.

Once you put a good meeting together everything else will fall into place.
Trust me I'm a doctor.  ;)

They grid us according to points for the qualifying/heat race, so likely near the back.  Figure trying to get to the front should be enough motivation Brian.  The Sunday final is where the fun will be. ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Starts are usually pretty strong.  How quick I can get past others depends on what kind of stupidity will be going on in front of me.  Last race started 7th, watched the scramble in front going into 1, and the tire smoke into 2. :o  Came out of #3 in 3rd, and passed for 2nd on the back straight.  Electrics died on the next lap. :(

I feel for you Brian; I've been ill for over 3 weeks now, except in my case it lodged in my sinuses. I had a fever as high as 103.8 3 weeks ago. :o

I got lucky scottly, didn't get into my sinuses.  When that happens, 3 weeks to clear would be a dream.

How did your weekend go Brian?

Saturday was great, Sunday sucked Brian.  The good, the bad, and ugly follows.......

Bike was fast off the trailer, and a rocket down the straights.  I could pull anyone on the back straight in practice, and was seeing 7K+ in 5th @ the 100ft marker.  Started the qualifying in 7th, and got a good start, but had to stay there until the back straight.  Got by two on the back straight on motor, and a great launch out of the hairpin.  Thanks to MikeR, the upper middle & top end were very strong, just need to add some compression to complete the package.  Chased Vic around to the front straight.  He has a right chair, and turn #1 is a right.  So I took advantage, and passed him on the outside, 5th flat on the exit. ;D ;D ;D  Took another lap to run down the bike in 3rd (bike that won the championship in 2012, but with new team this year), and also passed him on the outside of #1, only this time had the throttle WO at the apex.  Brent, figure if Stacy Nessbit can do it, so can I, great fun.  That got me up to 3rd, which lasted for another lap and a bit.  However, a bobble into 2 (out-braked myself ::)), and wrong gear let him back past.  Chased him around to the hairpin (right), and slid wide dropping the chair  into the grass, the other tyres had about 2" left of pavement.  Lost a bunch of ground. :(  We where heading around to start lap 6, and wasn't going to make it back up in the last 2 laps.  So I decided to take 4th and the outside grid position, as that outside line into 1 was working so well for me.  Best lap (133.047) was 1 1/2 sec off the P2 lap record set in 2012.  However the race winner set a new lap record that was 2+ sec fast than me.  And so ended Saturday.

Sunday sucked.  Engine went a little off song in practice.  Checked things over but....?  Then when the final was called it would start, but die as soon as you let the clutch out.  Wouldn't take and throttle.  So a DNS. >:( >:(

Sounds like Saturday was a blast.

Saturday was great fun Brian. ;D  Brent, Len F. said it sounded good at full chat on the front straight, and going into #1. 8)  It did seem a touch off at the end of Sunday practice.  Starting a reverse strip down, have already determined that the final nail was a loose (+) fuel pump connection.  So it may have been getting loose at the end practice, and come off as we tried to start / re-start it for the final.  It's already on the list is things to fix. ;)  Right side plug is black, Top of the piston a little oily, left plug dark tan.  Time for liners, pistons, and likely rods.  Something to do justice to the head & carb set-up (11-1?).  Getting some bars that fit me, and a 'balance bar' brake system are 1, 2 priorities though.  Got to be another second plus in just being able to sit / steer from a better, less tiring  position, and brake consistently.  Would really like to have same frame, but lighter, with just a bit more front weight bias.  So, while this years results weren't great as far as points, the bike showed the potential to run up front, when it wanted too. >:(  I'll need to be in better shape to take advantage of it. ::) ;)

Still trying to decide what to do about the Fiddaman.
