If your having clearance issues withe cable Dellorto  sells a 90 degree elbow for the top of the carb.

Would I have to worry about the exposed cable rubbing inside the elbow?  That seems like the right solution though...Thank you.

Not sure how I missed this thread!  I'm in love with your project. I have a hope that some day someone will come across my bike buried in a barn and resurrect it to race again.

Thank you for the compliment Matt!  I have been keeping track of your Bonneville build as well, and am very impressed with your fabrication skills...simply incredible how you built that exhaust manifold from scratch!  I look forward to any input you have for my build ;D ;)

I'd imagine the diameter would have to be somewhat bigger given that stock, each cylinder had a 22mm carb bore to breathe through.   If it even idled wouldn't it severely limit the top end?  There's that other member here with the yellow framed, turboed 550.  Pick his brain and see what he's got.

Bob3050 has a different sized turbo, the one that came with the ATP kit back in the 70's...I think he has the bendix zenith carb that came with the kit..not sure what size they were, but they were modified with bigger jets, and a larger float bowl.

The Zenith Bendix carb from the ATP kit is 38mm bore size.   ;)

Throttle cable installed.  Had to grind down the plastic on the throttle tube because it was catching on the tarozzi housing.  Opens and closes nice and smoothly now.   Also got the KONI shocks unscrewed and ready for rebuilding...that fluid STINKS :o

The spine of the tank ramps up right from the bottom edge of the side, so I was able to fit the cable without buying an elbow.

I dipped into my box of turbo bits, and I cleaned up a Mikuni 36mm carburetor with a float bowl-fuel pump.  The pump bolts onto the side with the bowl, and pumps right into the bowl for when it's on the boost.  This carb has a functioning choke too, so it's kind of a no brainer.  I wish I could quit my job and be a shop rat...this bike is calling me ;D ;D

No ultrasonic cleaner...the inside is clean, so I'll let the outside be dirty...kinda fits the theme of the bike ;)

Yes, if there's one thing I've learned about turbo set ups, it's that you gotta find a way to keep the bowl full on the boost, or go BOOM ;D ;D

I believe that's an external accelerator pump, that pumps fuel FROM the float bowl and squirts it into the carburetor throat, via one of those plastic tubes and the upper brass nipple. The pump lever needs to be linked to the throttle somehow. Is there a one-into-two sort of throttle cable in the box??
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Nope.  It pumps into the bowl.  The guy I bought the kit containing this carb had used it for both the street, and the strip.  He added the pump to keep the bowl full while under boost on the strip.  There was no link to the throttle, so I'm not sure how I'll rig it up.
