Completely faded candy paints can go back to the base color. red is worst for fading...
check headlite ears for water damage (freezing). If they come off you may get a color clue. if gaiters are torn, undo the top collar and you should see previos color...
How far is frame number off motor. Is there a neck tag ? not sure when they started using them, the early ones did not have them...
The frame and engine are with the proper range to be considered correct and are within 62 digits of one another.  The headstock is only stamped with the VIN and a decal without the date on the otherside.

So where do the numbers CB750E-1003374 leave this bike on the K0 scale?
Sandcast production went from June to September 1969.  With a total of 7414 built, that would make a build date for this VIN probably near the end of July.  Everything before 3950 had left hand horn and everything before 4148 had lotus root pipes and smooth oil filter covers, two significant evolutionary changes.  The pipes are impossible to find and the covers are next to impossible.  I personally consider 3950 to be the transition point for early and late models.  Of course 2 and 3-digit VIN's are in a class by themselves.  I guess what I'm saying is that this VIN is desirable especially if you have or can get the missing parts.

I was asking because I believe that Silver was a JDM color only although I don't know if it was offered in '69.
Only red and blue/green were offered in '69.

The headstock is only stamped with the VIN and a decal without the date on the otherside.
That's correct for your VIN.

Don't be too upset mate, even though that bike's missing most of the "hard to find" parts, a well heeled sandcast restorer will make you a very nice offer on what you've got there. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I hope so, I'm waiting to hear back from two guys that were asking about it.  Once I figure out wether or not they want it I will post a proper for sale ad.

I dont know what you paid for it but 1500 aint enough..imo.. except maybe if they take care of ALL shipping arrangments.
I got to ask though, are all fins intact?, an no chain damage(sorry if I already asked)? I will take another look at your pics.
Took a look, is that a double cut fender? (sharp on both ends) that is restorable..= big plus
Cant see the case, all of it by the points cover, , better if no damage on the edges of that..

The fins are good,no bent ones, they look a little nicked up like the bike tipped in gravel or something.  I believe the fender is double cut, at least the front edge is.  The cases did suffer a chain hit and have been repaired.  The area around the points cover is chip and nick free.  I will deliver the bike to a freighter for the buyer but don't have the time or abilities to crate the machine and is up to the purchaser to work out those details.  Off the top of my head I believe it to be around $800.00 to ship a bike to the states from up here.

What is the serial number range for a sandcast? A buddy of mine just had two cb750 motors and a couple boxes of parts given to him, on is said to be from a 69 cb750.

I think it is worth more too. But being in Alaska is hurting him and also the case has a repair from a broken chain incident.

You could hold out for more, depends on how bad you need the cash now.

Even the parts that are left are worth more than $1500, especially to someone restoring another sandcast.
I'll bet it would fetch ~$3000 or so on ebay.

Will do, I'm curious as hell to see what he's got myself! I wish someone would give me a couple motors and parts for free, haha. He's out in Ontario, if he was closer to New West I'd have helped him grab it all. That a cell number or land line?
