i was checking out a new cb1100 i saw parked,,i was interested in how the spark plug looks to threaded into a removable finned looking plate,,so if you strip the threads you could just replace it?its got two bolts,too easy.

i was checking it out for a while,,the key was still in it??brand new still with white grease on the chain and a temporary rego label,,?

I'd be willing to look past that if Honda imported it. I never understand why Honda gives us the Fury instead of things like this.

not too big of a bike either,,the starter looks prone in a left hand drop,probably break the whole case?the guages are nice,actual chrome fenders aswell.

Mick in Darwin has one. (I saw it in its crate before he got it... ). I'm sure he'll chime in and tell you how good it is.

I would buy one if they were here.  Is this strictly a marketing decision by Honda, not to sell in the US?

No, just marketing.  I have followed it since it showed at the 2009 Tokyo show before Honda would commit to production or where it would be available.  Honda has just miss read the US market repeatedly.  It is about the only bike I would consider buying new anymore as I have others and don't really need a new one.  That one I would make a exception for.

No so, if your motorcycle importers weren't so hung up on Cruiser type bikes it would be there now. The US is the single biggest motorcycle market going and Japan knows this, they would love to sell this bike there {and many others}, its not marketed there so most don't know it even exists, first people need to know these bikes are available then you need to put pressure on Honda USA to import, that is where the problem lies.

I agree.  The US market is divided between cruisers and crotch rockets.  The Ducati sport 1000 didn't last long and I've never seen one in person.  I guess Honda doesn't think it's feasible to carve a new niche with an expensive retro bike here.  Those of us who are willing to resurrect bikes from the '70s just aren't enough of an existing market.  Yet, they did develop and produce the thing...C'mon how about limited imports.

I still want one and I'd like it with a kick-start please.

The counter point here is that Honda (and other companies) have made a niche for naked bikes even though they don't sell nearly as well as some others.  When we asked, they did start selling the CB1000R and F.
