Hi guys ,here are some shots from previous work.
Finally get to the crank shaft and remove it.Remove rod that was stuck and look what I found. :o

That one Bering totally gone ,wondering why? Overheated ?

Push rod not bad ,little  bit change a color but no wears .

Didn't open clutch jet but I will .
See an oil pump

Lots of debris, and tiny  metal pieces .I am thinking because cam chain was lose ,touching a lower case on one spot and braking small, tiny pieces of  aluminum  and stuck them all around engine.

Happy crank look ok I'll bring it to a machine shop to measure it.

Look this ! How many of this half rings should be there ?
I found only three.Did I lost some or they missing ?
Somebody please answer .

thank you guys

This may be of help to you.  http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb750four_model14344/   It shows exploded diagrams. Keep up the good work.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Hi guys .
opened clutch today and it look like somebody was opening this one before.
The nut no.13 from this schematic shows signs of screwdriver.

Then further on I found out ,missing  spring seats all of them and missing no. 11 from schematic refered  as lock ring .
So now what do you guys think should I keep on dinging further more or not ?
By the way don't have that puly jet but i'll by it ?
Any hints ?

All steel rusty parts need to be dipped in phosphoric acid.

gas tank, bolts nuts all steel parts.
 That Stops the rust.

Then paint .
The bolts and nuts just oil.

Thank You Lucky  ,but when ,just before painting or you can dip earlier and let it sit for a while after taking that out ?
Because it look like that I won't be able  to finish this maybe for a year or so.?
I try to work on the engine for now .
Can you help me I am thinking to for 836 cc , did a lot of reading here but couldn"t find exactly what it need to be done for it ?
Because my Cam,valves  and one of Cams holder is very bad ,so I need to change those.
Then I was wondering ,when I am doing that why not go for 836 ?
I figured out need to bore, new pistons and rings ,new valves, new valve spring and spring seats, and what else  ?
Do I need to change a carbs ,ignition, clutch or anything else ?

Any leads ?
Thanks

I doubt you " have to " do anything other than have the cylinder bored. I would be a great time to have some head work done though. just depends on your budget. try searching for " cheap 836 kit" on here. if you can find the thread there is a lot of info in the kit.

Since you are rebuilding the top end, you should think about the cheap 836 kit (from Japan) on ebay.

Just my $0.02 but I'd replace the stocker studs if you are going to moved up to the 836.

I been searching for those two parts No.10 spring seat and No.11 clutch lock ring and do not now whats going on ?
Manual original  book for my K2 bike shows those two parts.
OEM schematic from 1971 and 1972 also shows these parts but no one has it for sale, not available, actually those not even listed below schematic !
Then from different supplier ,OEM schematic for model K3 1973 doesn't even show and list those two parts.
Anybody experienced guys knows what's going on  ?
Do I need those or not ?

lock ring was different with different years of clutches ( some had it, some didnt). If you didnt have it then you likely dont need it. as far as those shim/washers. I have never noticed them but I have also never looked for them. my first instinct is that they are also not on all years, but that is something I am not sure about.

Thnx ,see the only reason why I am dig so hard to find about this, is :
When I was opening clutch I sow that Nut NO 13 . mangled like on the picture ,so normal logic conclusion was that somebody was opening clutch before.

So now I am worry ,if I close engine without these then I'll have a problem.
And the funny thing, schematic from 1971,1972 show these on the picture but they don't list them  under neat ?! :o
Anybody else please !

I'm definitely curious.  My next project (waiting until I put the finishing touches on my K7), is a K2 also.  I have the original K2 motor and a second K3 motor for replacement parts.  I haven't removed the clutch cover to be able to answer your question.

I have no idea either, but it sounds like a Hondaman question.  Maybe make a new thread in the tech forum and see if you get any answers.

Thnx guys ,it's a tuft one isn't it ?
I actually will never find that , but before I took bike apart , gear didn't work.
Then I started  taking it apart and I was rely paying attention to a clutch following schematic from the manual. And sow that missing these spring seats and lock .Or maybe not ?

I dont think the washers would have any effect on work/ not work. clutch might slip a bit from lack of spring pressure but I doubt it. The part you are working on is easily accessible after assembly. I would put it together best I could and move on. I would be much more concerned about engine internals i.e. rod bearings, cam towers, etc. Things that I couldnt get to once the motor is back int the frame.

Today I was preparing to start taking apart the other donor  engine , what I was thinking it's 1975,  but surprise it's 1971 by the motor and frame numbers .
On the right upper corner of the aluminum tag said 3 / 75 .so make me thinking year of production is 1975 but it's not. I took goggles had a look at the numbers and everything was clear .

So now I am going to work on the 71 instead 72 that I started .
Good find ,who knows what gonna happen here ? 8) No rush

Dip the bolts now. (Stop all rusting now) Leave them over night the next day rinse them with water and then spray WD40 all over them and put them in a plastic bag.

The sooner you stop the rust the better off the parts will be.

IF the part has to be painted .... It must be painted with in 4 hours or the rusting will start all over again. Do not put WD 40 on parts to be painted because WD 40 has silicone in it and the paint will not stick.
