I read a story that Old Man Honda had a belief from American movies that we were all over 6 feet tall and had the CBs designed for that height. He came for a visit and found out he miscalculated.

Schmthaus- he definitely didn't mean #1 or #4. More like #3.  Maybe  he was referring to me as #2.

five feet, seven and a half. Gotta tiptoe it around. Stock seat, tire sizes, and suspension height. 128 lbs. and I can get it up on the centerstand. You guys are all giants. Or maybe I'm just a squirt...

5'11 1/2" here and the wife is 5'4".

The bike has been lowered and she is wearing Doc's. The pic is when the seat was stock.

I figured the answers here would average around 5'9".  I thought I might be too big for a 750 when I started thinking about buying a SOHC4.  Glad I was wrong, 6'3" works well, thank you Mr. Honda...er a.. Domo Arigato MR. Honda ;)

Of course height v inseam is important. I'm 5"11", with 33" inseam. Fit OK. I think the seat height on the CB750 was listed as 31"? But the width of the seat soaks up some of the leeway. And a 31" (more average I think) inseam would be uncomfortable at a stop.

You'd think Honda would have done some market research on our heights. maybe they did (probably) and just figured we could scootch over to one side at a stop light.

Shoulder width and reach enter in to the handlebar choice. Different for everyone.

I'm 5'9" with 32 inch inseam - I can flatfoot our CB750s easily.  My lady is 5'5" and balls of her feet touch ground on her 76 CB750F - not a huge problem unless trying to back up on an incline - which can be hard for me with sure footing!

 I enjoy the clearance that Honda manufactured into this bike.If my bike is on the center stand I can walk under it without bumping my head on the lower frame rails or worrying about having the shifter poke me in the eye.Genius!
