SOHC4 mechanic in Dallas / Ft. Worth area?
« on: June 26, 2006, 10:57:59 AM »
Does anyone know of a good SOHC4 mechanic in the Dallas / Ft Worth Texas area?  I have a '77 CB750K with 8000 miiles that isn't charging when the headlight is on.  I've gone through alot of the troubleshooting procedures recommended here, but am not making any progress.  I'd like to give it to somebody that knows WTF they're doing.  Please help!!!  I'd appreciate any recommendations.

I've been keeping an eye open for one here myself in case I can't get my carburetors straightened out. The only place I know of for sure that works on old CB's is Two Wheel World in Arlington. They have been around forever and the owner is one of the mechanics. However as of a week or so ago they had about a six week backlog. Good luck.

I'm from Fort Worth and am currently stationed Fort Polk, LA.  Since they're so close, I come home all the time.  Based on my search for a vintage bike mechanic in DFW, the only mechanic I trust is, well, ME!  ;D

Sorry I couldn't help, but there is a real Dearth of vintage shops and such in DFW.  Which is why my dream is, when I get out, to build some capital and open my own shop in the area.  The market seems to be there.
