My first tattoo!!, 10 days ago at age 43.   I finally went for it.  My wife got her first the same day.

The  soaring American Eagle with the United States flag on my tattoo was featured on the reverse of the 1918 United States Federal Reserve Bank Note $1.00 bill.     Happy I went for it and pleased with how it turned out.  Won't be my last.  Eworth

finally got my sleeve finished afte a year and a half... the first pic is from feb 2010\

im just gonna say to anyone thinking about a sleeve that the elbow is freaking killer... that was the worse thing ever to get tattooed

I've got two tattoos so far, one on the back of my head/neck ( not very pleased with this one now, though its 2012 I suspect I might run into problem when I'm looking for a job) it goes pretty much from ear to ear.



And one on the front lower hip, it says "Rakryggad och fin", it doesn't really fit to translate. The "direct" translate is something like "stright backed and nice", but in Swedish the meaning is more "Honest/proud/uncompromising and Kind/humble/nice".
It was taken from a "speech" my grandfather said to me when i turned 20. The anchor is for home/ground and my grandfather was in the navy, the ocean and seagulls is symbolizing my hometown from south Sweden where we have a beautiful archipelago.
