Yes.  The cup wheel works the best.  I was not planning on stripping the whole frame but now it looks like I will have to - it would bother me not to  :)

What are you doing to the head and is it ready to go on?

The head is what keeps me from moving forward.  It needs new guides, valves, springs and retainers. 

Most likely I will need to cut valve seats too to make them seal - means to get Neway cutters.

Looks like phenolic bushings in the swingarm, I will use old style bolt with zerks.  To help the grease flow I drilled holes in the sleeve and also cut spiral groves to distribute the lubricant where it is needed the most.

Swingarm bushings from Germany.  Febay seller kenosha_kid.  Purchased on 9/18, got it today, not bad.







The first idea how to press them in,  looks like it's working.

Good idea on the pipe clamp, I have one, but wouldn't have thought to use it for that

For the peace of mind I had the sleeve holding bushings lined up while pressing, but I don't think it was necessary.

Now the next challenge, valve guides installing  ;D

I would not pass inspection with the windshield, due this month.
