Had a great Sunday ride with Dave500 and others. Nothing really exciting regarding footage shown, just great roads and scenery. Top Northern NSW countryside. Quick video put together.

Dont know why is has a wave to it in parts. Was shot at 720 to keep the file size down. Anyone with Gopro skill please chime in and offer any suggestion as to how to eliminate this.

What was the bike in front of you Dave? It looked like it was cutting along until it got caught behind the slower moving vehicles? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The wave is an effect of the rolling shutter and the vibrations. Mine does it too around 5-6K because of how I have it mounted.

Not really. Isolate from vibrations is the best you can do. On my custom mount it get insane vibrations, but when it is mounted to the suction cup and held upside down the vibes are gone.

Its currently mounted of the handlebars from a Ram type mount. It feels really solid with little vibration. I will try different mounts again. Thanks heaps evanphi.

I don't know what a ram mount is but I have some black goo used for sticking on number/licence plates. It is very sticky and will absorb shocks. Looks like it's worth a try. Whenever the gods are benevolent enough to make my sorry ass worthy of owning a videocam I'm going to try it.
Oh, I put some under my bike seat as I didn't have a hinge nor lock. The bugger never moved.

It doesn't look like it will vibrate, but everything your bars do, the cam will too. Mine is mounted to the speedo/tach mounting bracket with a custom 3D printed job. That bracket likes to vibrate with no weight on it now (running Acewell 2853).

When using the suction mount, I put it on the side of my tank with the cam upside down. Makes for cool angles.

Something you might try doing is extending the mount with an extender arm, and letting the cam hang upside down. This will help stabilize the camera.

Yup I have a paracord safety line from the suction mount to my bars. I've never had the mount even close to coming off, though. With the tank full of gas, I can lift it up with the suction mount!

I think I had it on a 30 sec. timelapse. I usually do 5 or 10 sec now that I have a bigger SD card. :D
