Not being able to add pictures inside the body of the post is a real drag.
Forums just arent the same after photobucket.

Have you ridden a chopper much ? Set up right, you can do lots of miles.
And you can have huge fun without being ticket bait...

Laws a around here have really  killed it for sportbike owners. .

I have not done a tone of miles, but I know what you mean about a properly set up chopper.
Honestly I was shocked how well this one went down the highway.  I assumed it was only ever going to be good at bar hopping.

Sport bikes do get a bad rap.
A few that I have had really were zero fun at sane speeds.

Ones I have now kind of split the difference.

Need to finish getting the cases cleaned up, then painted.

After that I will dig into the crank bearings.  I would like to have new ones, but need to figure out what is available and what sizes I need.
Any tips?

Measure first, you may not need any at all.

A decade of solid fail, and it is still going....lol
Figured it was time to get back to this thing.

Been away from the SOHC4 game for a bit.
Mostly messing with Italian junk.

Actually been doing more car things these days.
Ended up with a Maserati to enjoy with the young family, and a street car to do "drag and drive" events.

But y'all don't care about all that.

You want chopper goodness.

I had planned to have stuff painted and coated while it was apart.  But after three moves, I have zero idea where everything is.
So current plan is to knock the motor together, mock up the roller and see what is what.

Nice frame, might be a bit of a rough ride with a hard tail.

Wrong!  My buddy has a Gran Turismo, 450hp "Ferrari" engine, how could you not like that?!

And a Hemi Charger??

The maserati is rather fun for road trips.
Went out of my way to get one of the less than 300 that came to the USA with the F1 gearbox.

The Dodge is what looks like a 71 Dart.  In truth it is a full chassis car underneath.
Has a modern hemi and turbo.
Been deep in the 8s.

Nice frame, might be a bit of a rough ride with a hard tail.
It is not that bad really.
Well expectations need to be managed.  But for the intended use, it is perfect.
