That's great Dave, and I didn't realise it was that small until I saw it with the watch beside it, I'd love one like that to put on my mantle-piece! (If I had a mantle-piece, that is.......) Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

That is a beautiful  little lathe, Dave. (which rhymes, incidentally) As Blue mentioned, the jaws will probably reverse, in which case it'll probably be big enough for other stuff, but I'm guessing that is a special "Modeller's Lathe", which were very popular 50 or 60 years ago, so don't try to machine anything too big, like a new stainless swingarm pivot. Very nice piece of kit mate, you're a lucky boy. Cheers, Terry. ;D

They are a dedicated watchmakers lathe Terry, did a bit of research for Dave when he got it, awesome little thing. There are a few You Tube vids on how to set up and use it. One of the video's shows a guy machining brass... ;)  You need to get that other box that goes with it Dave.... ;)

Well for a fact you don't have to run DOS or what have you. It won't need 10,000$ worth of cables to run three phase to it, tooling is probably way less expensive than anything else. and for what you want to use it for (custom jettingz) it could be perfect.

Friend has a 'desktop' lathe that we haven't done anything wioth , but look at what you can make instead of buying something cookie cutter and there you go. Home made stuff that works for you,.

Probably a set of indexed drill bits and a small collet will be good to ream out or enlarge pod  jets, Cheap, you can match them carb to carb, and wtf are you going to do with those junky old jets other than blow a few larger holes through them that all match?

i picked up all the other stuff for it,a tiny dual action dial scale for like tiny springs, quite a few cutting tools, small whitworth and ba taps, some tiny reamers, collets and the tool post and a tool rest with two rests similar to a wood lathe.

so i quickly knocked up this vintage seiko sports 100 with it.

heres how they came boxed when new if you scroll down, mine might be 40s or 50s with the improved drive head?

I wouldn't mind a couple of those Rolex watches Dave.
It's just that I've lost my cheque book and was wondering if it would be ok to send a cheque a bit later on when I find it.
