Success! I used the strap the lever over night trick and its night and day better! Great technique!

Sometimes brakes are a breeze to bleed, and sometimes they are a total #$%*; we've all been there once or twice.
Nice looking bike! Please post more about it on the "other bikes" board.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Sorry but I was informed here that doesn't work. You must be mistaken. LMAO. Seriously, it worked for me too on my double disc bike.

I still can't believe that it works! I have a decent amount of braking but it is still spongy. I'm going to try it again since I've been riding and see if I can get more out of it.
Anyone understand the science behind this?

I have left a bike sit with the lever held in to the depth of a finger for several days to get the last bit of air out...Larry

From what I've learned, you get something called micro bubbles in the fluid, particularly if some idiot shakes bottle/can
If you leave fluid sit, the bubbles may eventually work out but under pressure they combine and float to the top
in about 12~24 hrs
May be total BS but it works so sounded logical to me
It's a good idea to keep pressure on lever when you remove strap, bungy or whatever then allow lever to flick out quickly as it seems to cause any air to be sucked out of piston bore
I fake being smart pretty good

From what I've observed while bleeding brakes, if you put pressure on the large bubbles in the system they break up and turn into very tiny ones that have difficulty moving though any viscous fluid.
