Terry, have you left yet?   :D

Eric

No, I didn't go Eric, I did an oil and filter change on the wife's little Hyundai (I decided that 20,000 miles was enough between changes...........) and while I was under the car my son turned up for a visit, so that was the end of my ride. To be honest I wasn't feeling great anyway, so no biggie. Hopefully I'll get a ride in this weekend........... Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

Yeah, the low range is pretty zippy around town. I basically used the high gear as a 6th gear/overdrive on the interstate. Gimmicky for sure, but it's nice to have the closer ratios for quicker acceleration combined with the ability to bring the rpm's down a bit at speed. And did I mention that it's SMOOOOOOOOOOOTH?!? :)

Power-wise it was about the same. Plenty of get-up-and-go. Handling-wise? Different, that's for sure. Its center of gravity is much higher, so it doesn't seem as flickable as the Goldwing. However it doesn't have the motor sticking out of both sides, so you can lean it more. Finally, when it gets hot, there's no fan to kick on and scorch your legs :)

What a Nice 70' K2 CB350 ! Do you still have it ? I have a K4 same color that I enjoy.

I had a customer w/ the exact same bike as you have there when I lived & worked on the island.I told him to take it out and "run the rpm's up a good bit" & don't run it below 3K,well he came back 6 months later after 'revin' it out even while in traffic.... I had to share a few more of the finer points of engine rpm powerbands before he understood me correctly. I learned not to tell a novice owner to do that anymore because we had to source another top end eventually  ::) from so much extra heat and and not enough oil changes.
He loved that little 350,he bought it Mint.

I sold it to buy a k1 750 in 2006.  The K1 is long gone after an offer I couldn't refuse. I really wish I'd kept the CB350, it was a great little bike.

That said, I'm always keeping my eyes open for an early (k0, K1) CB450 in nice original condition.  It's been harder than I thought.

Yep, it's a beautiful spring day today Eric, and the wife's already at me to mow the lawn, but bugger it, I'm going for a ride! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Okey Dokey. So I got out of Dodge before the wife could chain me to the mower and headed north, then east, into the hills. 'Twas a magnificent day, somewhere in the 80's, and lots of bikes out on the road, luckily for me, most were going the other way. I cruised along at only 2-3000 RPM, (60-75 MPH) for the most part, not rushing, just enjoying the day.

I did around 130 miles before stopping at my local RSL (Returned and Servicemens League) club to wash the dust outta my maff, and to lose a few bucks on the poker machines therein. I got home in daylight (we start daylight saving tomorrow) and gave my youngest boy a hand to replace a leaking radiator hose on his car. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Beautiful place for a ride.
It looks like it could be in VA., TN., N.C., KY. W.VA. or MS.

Beautiful pics Sarge, I love that "Non Japauto", some really nice engineering there, I love the hydraulic clutch conversion, it's probably unnecessary, but definitely cool! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks for the extra pictures of the ignition system on that turbo. Some really nice engineering on that bike. I love that old Katana too. I would love to have on of those. A local dealer has a small collection in his showroom that includes one in almost as good condition as that one.
