End of December is the target date. Left cover installed and done. Start on right tomorrow.

Waiting on carburetors and painted fork lowers. Shopping for a chain in 108 links. Don't want to bust one down to fit.

Found a good left muffler today. Still need right. Found correct side cover for the 350G also. It was a good day.

Playing with the NX2000 this morning. Shoots huge pictures. Still reading. Still learning.

I bought a book that relates to me and a camera. DSLR for dummies.

Right side cover is now removed and ready for paint. The screws were not to bad, just a little fight. The side cover was not. Man, thought it would never break free. 

I did not have a flash connected but this side was just super clean. Honestly, I started to doubt whether the oil pump even works.



Wanted to throw a pipe on the right side. Cleaned up nicely.



And a full shot using the fluorescent light setting on the camera. Has three so I need to read. More.

Everything is super clean with a light coating of oil. I was prepared for a mess on each side but not the case. I did not wipe either side it was so clean. Just a little around the starter area.

A little oil dripped out when removing covers which is usual.

Well, that may be but it has not run in years. I only ran it for the length of the video. 24 seconds or so.

Moving forward this morning.

Changed out the exhaust gaskets.



Mounted pipes but did not snug them. These will need to move a bit when installing mufflers.



Right cover painted and installed with new kick start seal, cover gasket and OEM screws.



Notice the condition of the kick start rubber. Love the "Honda" inscribed.



Fitted the right side cover. Great tip on using O rings to protect the tabs. Think it was HondaNut.  Had to use the original rear brake cable. Flea Bay part did not work. Gee, I'm so surprised. 



Waiting on drive chain then button up the rear. Forks and carburetors are next when they are done.

Mock up. Still working on cleaning the exhaust but done for the day. Hit the Shop running at 0330 hrs. 

Right. Still looking for a better muffler. Hard to find part.

I believe they were just an aluminum finish, maybe clear coated.  They should be the same as the finned cylinders and head. I don't think they were painted as the side panels were.

Yeah, knew they were not Cloud Silver. Could paint the same as engine covers but had doubt's they would look good. Undecided at this time, best to leave as is for now.

Yeah, knew they were not Cloud Silver. Could paint the same as engine covers but had doubt's they would look good. Undecided at this time, best to leave as is for now.

If same as 550/750, they were just cleared.  I would strip and lightly polish. No biggie, but I know how detail oriented you are!

Might throw them in the tumbler and see what happens. Sometimes you just have to roll with it.
