I did 3000 miles maintenance on Red - had to take the box off for access to ignition.  Checked every weld on the frame and made sure all those numerous bolts and nuts are snug, everything seems to be holding well.

Put the box back and used some hard rubber spacers to keep the box rattling against the frame.

I routinely shop for beer at BJs for our hunting club, the sidecar can cary 240 cans of beer with room to spare  ;D

I took the sidecar off to go over joints before the winter - and to enjoy Red in some curves.  ;D

Took the time to install the sidecar brake caliper.

A small proportioning valve on the chair wheel side works well.

yes think that is needet..you can make it load sensing..use somthing from a small ute..toyota hilux..rear aksel valve..but a simpel drossel valve ..and one final adjusting. and lock it.can do the job
i kan not speak english/but trying!!

The owner of the “black seat” Sterling Black Douglas Rigs I built a few years ago, is selling. He has a fellow across the country interested, but the guy has asked me what needs doing to remove the side car combo (it’s about and hours work and some wiring). He doesn’t want it, nor wants to ship to...... Might be fun to add it to a cb750K??

I found locally Velorex 562, the plan is to adapt it to the existing frame.

The Velorex frame and wheel is bit flimsy.

Gussets could stiffen up the frame...fab your plates for gussets and use U-bolts to attach or weld studs to the gusset plate and a section of tubing one size bigger to shim the plates or get a chunk of aluminum and bore a bit larger than the tube then cut it in half to have a top and bottom clamping collar.
Would be easier to do this than to  fab a new frame. Unless the tubing is not big enough causing to be flexible.
Problem stiffening things is you then create the next weakest link going down the list you started with.

I am ditching the cargo box and replacing it with the Velorex tub.   The wheel matches Red and I also have a brake installed already.

I have no plans for the Velorex frame.

I want to try it without proportioning valve first.

Did you attach a Tee to your rear MC wheel brake master cylinder ?

I was able to use only two mounting holes, the other two I epoxied shut.  I added special brackets to my frame and drilled new holes in the tub for them.

I had to use body filler for three spots on the tub, still need to paint the top half.
