1981 ...I think... Tetons in Wyoming.

Is that the 1979 Yamaha XS650 you owned since new in the picture? If so that's great

Yeah...still got it.

My picture isn't as old as most of yours, but here I am with my first street bike, a '71 Guzzi Ambassador. Photo is from the early or mid nineties.

Where you come from is gone.
Where you thought you were going to, weren't never there.
And where you are ain't no good, unless you can get away from it.

Is that the corkscrew bridge near Sturgis? One place I never made it to in all the times I was there...

Close. There are several pigtail bridges in the Black Hills. I think the sign in the pic was for this one in Wind Cave Nat'l Park, south of Custer.

Nice Guzzi,
I went on a month long trip in the summer of 1974, me on my '70 Norton commando and my buddy on his '71 Guzzi Ambassador.
Great bike, very dependable, can't say that about my Norton. Did I mention anything about the oil leaks,  ::)
thanks, Mark

Here are a couple of pictures of two bikes I wish I still had. The Triumph was a '65 TR6 desert sled when I got it. After it threw me on the ground a few times I took off the bash plate and hung some lights on it and put it back on the street, straight pipes and all.

The second picture is my '67 Rickman Bultaco Pursang. This was the replacement for the Triumph as a desert bike. I rode this one for many years until it was really worn and instead of rebuilding it I sold it. Sure wish now that I hadn't.

Smart move Bob keeping the  Triumph on the street and riding '67 Rickman Bultaco Pursang in the dirt. The house and desert look like So.Cal. Ive ridden dirt bikes all over the Mojave desert during the 60's-70's. Owned A few Bultaco's myself.

Cannot find any photos from the 70s or 80s. This is from Damariscotta Maine, circa 1995. One of the very few times I did not wear a helmet. My head burned so badly later that day that I could not get my swollen head into the helmet.

Crap picture but the only one I posess.
1975 Kawasaki 250 S1C taken in 77. My first and almost my last bike.

Why?
Apparantly you've never ridden one of Kawasaki's 70's 2 stroke widow makers or you would understand what he means.

Actually, yes I have. My buddy had an H1.  It was not the first bike nor the last that I've ridden.

These pictures were taken in '59 when I was 17 and are of my first bike. It was a 40 inch (650cc) '56 BSA Road Rocket. It had 500 miles on it and I paid $500 for it. I had never ridden a motorcycle before and I had to learn on the ride home from buying it.

Show off! Our country was still in black&white in 59.
Nice sickle.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
