Hi all i'm JohnK6, i live in the Netherlands(holland)  in a small town named zwolle  , on this moment 36 years young   
 and i've registerd here today,my english in writing is average so i will make some mistakes 

I've got 3 cb 750 fours

a cb 750 K6 from 1976, I've got her now for 11 years, when i bought it the engine was poor so i had to fix it completely, bored the cilinders, replace the primairy chain, new bearings on the crankshaft, repainted the tank and sidecovers, and installed 4 new 4-4 pipes.
i've driven it now for 95.000 miles and the engine is still running perfect.



the second one is a cb 750 K7 from 1978 I bought it 3 years ago for about 200 US dollar, it was i a poor condition but the engine ran oke (on that moment)

this is the way that she looked when i bought her



and getting it ready to work:



I cleaned the carburators, new chainset, fresh oil, and cleaned the frontbrake, and fired her up, after a while i changed from contactbreaker points to an elektrical ignition damned what a difrence.

after a while the exaust didn't do to much (big hole rusted in it), so i made a 4-2 from RVS 316

i've driven her about 30.000 miles

the engine needs a tune up, (don't know in gallons i guess 1 gallon=4 liter) she's using 1/4 gallon of oil every 250 miles with a lot off grey smoke from behind

and here's the last one it's an cb 750 K7 from 1979, i bought it for about 80 US dollar, but i had to do a whole lot of affort in it to get it safe on the road, i've got this one now 10 months

here's the way she was when i bought her


what must be done:
exhaust was rotten, needed to be welded
wheelbearings bad
stearingbearings bad
elektrical a desaster
carburators needed to be cleaned
gascable, clutchcable, chokecable
frontbrake bad, rearbrake stuck

it costed me about two months to get it operating again, in the eveninghours (yeah i had to go to work also  ), and it's my daily bike now driven with it about 7000 miles in 7 months

the reason i registerd, i had a problem with the bushing on the rear(to much clearance, (new axle, new bushing)), and i saw here the solution in a topic

Now you do nice work!

I guess I will have to raise the bar on cafe's here. Working on breaking cafe's away from the "I drank all my money" one solid color. Not that solid color bikes are bad, but graphics are damn cool and they stop the Hardley fools in thier tracks.

Great work on the bikes and I especially like the exhaust you fabricated - very cool with the crossing headers. Im sure you know this already but Rene (Appledorn) is a long time SOHC memeber - web page at http://members.tripod.com/cb750K2/page1.html. There is also Chris (with a 400F) who I think is in Utrecht and Johnny in Belgium (Brussels) who has a CB750. These guys get together once  a year for the WER - Western European Ride, usually in August. There is also Axl (the Satanic Mechanic - google his name to find webpage) in Munich who also comes along to the WER. I did go myself but have since moved to Boston, MA, USA.

Hi Andy,

thanks, the exhaust is also sounding O.K. Rene(apeldoorn) i know him for several  years now, chris i don't know, and from jonny i heard, The santanics Mechanic pages i found also (i'm getting ready to do some big bore stuf on one of my cb 750 fours) to the WER i've never been, but that sounds great.

The co-pilot is a gift from some very crazy friends, and indeed i like it also, so it will travel many miles with me now
