Well Gentlemen today being the first day of the New Year, i figured would be a good a time as any to start my Project Thread and the get the ball rolling. My name is Tyler, I'm 19 years old and i live in Baltimore Maryland, in College studying Criminal Justice. Theres a few things i love in this world, My Toyota 4x4, Mountain Dew, Camping, The Great Outdoors, and my Honda Cb. Fairly new to the vintage scene but not to Hondas. I have had this 73 350f since last February and now this winter i want to give her a "FaceLift" When i first got her she had 20,000 on the clock, which now sits at 23,000. Bought her running well and in my truck for 1200$

To make a long story short, my parents still own the house i grew up in, up until middle school when we moved 2 miles away. Now being older and needing a place to work they said i could use the cement floor basement and set up a workshop because i just store the bike in my shed and need a place to really do some work indoors. I have built 2 workbenches, one for working, and one heavy duty bench as a Bike Table because I'm not spending money on a lift. So far the Basement looks like this:
Nothing spectacular, but when the only other place is a cold driveway, Its absolutely perfect. I think of it as my "Mini Man-cave"
And this was today, the beginnings of a long winter project, Tank, Seat, Pipes Removed:
Believe it or not, i was lucky enough to purchase this bike with original matching numbers 4 Into 4 exhaust. They do have some rot but not to bad, i have a excellent welder who says he thinks he can fix it for me! She also has new Avon Road Tires and a new Oil Pressure Sending Unit. It came with a extra Speedo, so now with the purchase of a good looking set, i have 3 extras to work with, ( We will get to that later)
My hopes are to have this bike finished by about April or May.
Here are my plans-Which are Likely to Change along the way:
Tank and Side covers Repainted( i have 2 sets of side covers)
3000 mile Tune Up
New NGk plug wires
New Points and Coils ( Honda Tune-Up Kit )
Cb 400f Handlebars for a more "Sporty Look"
Paint some parts black-Rocker Cover, Levers, Valve Covers, Maybe a few more??
New Cables all around
I will be sending the carbs to a member on here to do a number on them, should i get bigger jets installed?
Polish Basically Everything
I already have a new chain and front and rear sprocket to put on, Gear Ratio for highway riding ( Baltimore Beltway 60-70 mph) But undecided on Changing The Gear Ratio as some have told me its a bad idea.
Took off front turn signals, so i would like some smaller good looking Rear Signals-Confused on if LEDs work or not??
New Air Filter ( what is a good brand?? K and N?? )
Purchased new Tach and Speedo from a member here in great condition because mine were way to wobbly and sun faded
Different style Mirrors that do not Vibrate
Hopefully find a smaller taillight and bracket, because i don't think the stock one flows very well honestly.
Thats it for now, my winter class starts tomorrow but i will be SURE to update as this progresses. This will be my first "Complete Restoration" so I'm sure i will be asking many questions along the way. I have basically been living on a few of the great 350f builds on here such as HoodellyHoo, and Matt350f and its been a great inspiration.
PLEASE give Input, Ideas, Helpful Links, Thoughts or anything you have to say, because i honestly wouldn't have the guts to do this without being a member on this site, and would appreciate ANY input you all might have!
