His wheels look aluminum, plus rear drum? Any marking on the wheels?

I have one of the rear drum wheels - I think it's a Shelby. I didn't want to go through all the associated stuff with a rear disc, so I had a Kimtab on the front and that one on the rear. It's marked on the rim somewhere, take an hour and check carefully. But I think it's Shelby.

...but since I'm getting that bike rebuilt as we speak, I'll go visit the builder and examine the rim. But now I know it ISN'T a Shelby-Dowd.....

I believe the mystery wheel is a knock off Kimtab from a vintage MV Agusta. Found a couple of pics of their wheels and they are are a very similar knockoff of the Kimtab. Larger center hub, but incorporated rear cush drive.

I actually believe you got it  ;D, it really looks like it, the only problem wit it matching my rim, is the fact i cant find any of the MV's with drum brakes on the rear wheel!

That looks like a CB500K rear drum and cush drive/sprocket.  Would also fit early CB550's if it really is.

it really looks like the MV.
might sound stupid but could the Wheel have been turned 180 degrees?
i also Wonder if they are safe since the MV is 160kg and my i 215kg?

They are a symmetrical pattern, so I don't see why you couldn't run it the other way. I really wouldn't worry about the bike weight and the safety of the wheel.

No, guys, sorry: I have one of these wheels myself on a CB750, they emphatically are NOT from a MV Agusta (they're wider) and as soon as I can access my storage I'll see if there's a makers' mark on it.I got it back in the 70's so I'dhave an alternative to the rear disc setup w/Kimtabs which I have on another CB750. But again, they aren't from an MV.As a matter of fact, the MV wheels are a knockoff of bothh these AND Kimtabs....

That's pretty much how the cush drive rubbers are supposed to look, if a little bit worn. The "ears" on the hub fit in the spaces.

Kimtabs are ambidextrous. I had no bearing carriers in the Kimtab for my Triumph and was tired of waiting on parts. So I decided to just pull the back one off the XR and use it for mockup but realized the chain was on the wrong side. Brain farted for a few before I realized "Ya dumb ass, turn the wheel around, they are symmetrical." The only difference it made was the direction of the tire which mattered not for mock up.

That red wheel is missing one of the smaller cush rubbers. I would replace all those in that wheel, they are kind of important.

I wish you followed up with this. I believe you are mistaken. You have no idea how wide the OP's wheels are. You assume the MV wheels only came in one width. While this wheel is similar to a Kimtab, the Op's wheel is identical to the MV. And you have no idea what yours came off of.

They are not MV Agusta wheels.  They were aftermarket snowflake wheels made for specific bikes like the CB750.  Here is a picture from a Motorcycling Monthly article on the Dunstall Honda.  The article doesn't say who the manufacturer of the wheels was but I'm sure they were European.  I have seen several Dunstall CB750s in his catalog and advertisements with these wheels installed.  Knowing a little bit about how Dunstall operated they were probably British or were at least readily available in England.  By the mid 1970s Dunstall wasn't into customizing frames and adapting different wheels to different motorcycles.

yes I am going to restore and replace the cush-drive, including rubbers. I hope I can finde rubbers that match, curently I have the 1976 cb750 spoke Wheel as a guess, this is based on a nother forum thread:

http://honda-cb750-s.456789.n3.nabble.com/Need-help-finding-a-cush-drive-please-td4027172.html

the ball bering guide is also madly stuck, so this will probably also need replacing, do all the ballbering guides fit? I found this one and also got the rubbers frum this side:
