Bad enough to see those vehicles fall through. The pieces of concrete slab that fell in afterward were the coup de grĂ¢ce though. I know they can probably be put back together,( and certainly the same cannot be said for people, thank goodness there was no personal injury), but...

Sure there is only 1 millionth Vette...just like there is only 1 247,000th Vette or only 1 1,000,001th Vette. It just an arbitrary number I don't see it as anything special.   I thought the whole things was kind of funny as long as nobody got hurt.  It's just a car. ::)  But then I forgot...this is the Honda site where some folks go gaga over serial numbers just because they were built before somebody else. ;D

I wonder of the 62 was a fuely? My dad had one, there are not many of them left, that's what makes a car valuable. Sad to see that one go down.

News today said that GM will repair them.  Once they are removed from the hole they will be shipped up here to Michigan for repair.  Estimated damage about 1 million.

When I hold the cursor over the smiley you used, it says"shocked", so it seems natural to come to the conclusion that you didn't see the jokes.

Then make them more obvious.

Jokes are typically funnier if you don't have to draw a picture.  Since I am pretty sure Jerry doesn't value cars over people, I saw his joke and added to it.  Clear now?

I'm with you. The Corvette... wasn't its designer of the opinion that a solid rear axle and leaf springs was the non plus ultra in suspension? A sink hole seems to be the right place.

I'm not feeling too much emotion about it either. I've been to the Vette museum before and I guess it would be a must see for a Vette fanatic but for me it was hohum. Of all the Vettes they had in there only 2 got my attention, 1 was a mid '60s Gran Sport that Chevy engineers made up to tangle with Shelby and his Cobras and a mid engined prototype that I had read about when I was a kid in the early 70s that Duntov played with but never made it to production.
