I adjusted my tappets according to the Manual. Rotated the engine clockwise untill both valves on the right hand cylinder were closed and timing mark pointed to the t(indicating a compression stroke) then set the indicated tappets then did one more rotation and stopped at t and set all other tappets

Well not sure if you just described it wrong or if you did it this way but that's not the way to adjust tappets.

Set the motor to TDC #1/4. Check cylinder #1 and #4 ... one of those two should be on the compression stroke (both valves closed ... or should have some play in the rockers ... but might not if you set it way out of wack).

Adjust the tappets for the cylinder that is on compression.

Rotate the motor 360 degrees and do the #4 if you did #1 before or vice versa. Adjust those tappets now.

Put motor to TDC #2/3. Find which cylinder is on compression stroke as before and adjust those tappets.

Rotate motor 360 again and bring back to TDC 2/3. Adjust 3 if you did 2 before or vice versa.

Done.

My cam was 90 degrees off I accidently alined the sprocket marks vertically instead of horizontally. I just Fixed it and it started right up. Thanks to everyone who contributed you guys really helped me out

Glad you got it all running fine. The whole thing smelt like it was valve timing from the onset. Congrats & enjoy the bike.

Cams can't be 180 out but they can be 90 out, anyone with half a clue as to the basic opperations of a piston engine would know this. ;)

To the OP, you are very lucky to have not smacked your valves with the pistons with your cam bing that far out.
