TREY = YOUNGBLOOD : Get on the bay or any bike [ drag ] site and look for that KWIK-SHIFT by RODON I have in my hand right now !!!!! No air, lines, button, tank you just turn on that switch and use that left foot at FULL OPEN throttle , at 10,200 RPM'S = NO MISSED SHIFTS. My ZIR ran a DALE WALKER elec. foot shifter for lots years = no back cut tranny just a new 1st gear and a heavy duty 2nd. gear from Schnitz  and a motor that had been freshen up by a guy who built flat track motorcycle engines, he had a great machine shop.
That 10,200 might be high for the SOHC 750......... YOU DO HAVE A REV LIMITER ??????
Want a better tire get on PONEY POWERSPORTS.COM in my hometown Columbus [ Westerville, Ohio, ]  SHINKO in a box, no state tax. This store is larger than any WALLMART or Costco store that I have ever seen....... MOTORCYCLE STORE OF THE YEAR at the PRI SHOW a few year back.
My son sent me back a SAKURA 6 1/2" WIDE 150/70-18TL TIRE from China while he was doing a job their = flat 6 1/2" wide street tire, fit real nice in K or F-ARMS.

Trey: I sent Dale Walker a e-mail about his electric foot shifter I used for years and he said you could use his P2 shifter , have your transmission back cut and have the spline polished. NO TANK, NO LINES, NO AIR COMPRESSOR, NO PUSH BUTTON just a toe dance on the 1320' with NO MISSED SHIFTS. I never had my KZ tranny back cut but I did put in a NEW first gear and a harden second gear [ from Schnitz ] when I turned a ZIR street bike into a track only race bike = 15 years, 4 broken 630HD chains, WINNING RACES AND ROUNDS of toe tapping never missed a shift right on the shift light at 9800 -10,000 rpms.
DALE WALKER HOLESHOT PERFORMANCE on the net.

Ok guys.. Bike was running horribly last night at test and tune.. Idle was fine but once you took it over 3-4K the revs would stay hung up even though the throttle was completely closed. So made for a weird handeling bike. Came home and checked the plugs and appeared to be running pretty lean even though it was bogging out on the line and felt fat..

Now heres the tricky part and maybe someone has some insight..

I missed the whole day today because when I checked the timing I noticed 1&4 were spot on and the strobe looked normal.. When I went to check 2-3 I noticed virtually no strobe on #2 and #3 had an off again on again pulse and no strobe at full advance..

Heres where it gets more strange.. I started swapping wires and plug wires around.. Checked all my connections, basically eliminated anything suspect with the parts I had been using so I started swapping out one by one with another dyna kit I had in shop..

Different coils.. Same result..different plate.. Same result.. I cant for the life of me figure out why 1&4 work no matter what coils or plate used but 2&3 do not seem to have the pulse.. The mechanical advance seems to open and return as it should and I cant see why the rotor button would fire for one coil but not another. :-\

sounds like the notorious Dyna s failure, times 2? Swap the yellow and blue wires at the coils, and see if you get spark on 2/3, but not 1/4. If yes, you have a bad 2/3 module on the plate(s). Be aware that the failed Dynas are often temperature sensitive, and may work when cold but fail when warm.

I'm not too quick to blame the Dyna's, two of them at that. All I use are Dyna's S, Kawasaki's and Honda's both and they always work great for me.

Something doesn't sound right.

Dave, there has been an epidemic of failed Dynas over the last 6 or more years. It has been tapering off lately, but every now and then another case pops up.

Trey did you try new or different plugs? Possibly a shorted plug? Check to be sure both coils have a good clean solid ground.

Also check your wiring hasn't been pinched between ignition and the coils.

I went as far as to connect both sets of plates directly to the coils.. Still cant seem to get a proper pulse from 2&3.

I think im going to try different coils and another plate today to see if it changes anything..

Just such a weird issue.. And im almost convinced if there is left over fuel/air misture in the cylinder it could have accounted for the poor running condition the other night
