Now don't you laugh at me!
« on: May 09, 2014, 08:01:32 AM »
This is not your Fathers scooter ::) No, not Steve-o's fault either.

What a kick this Burgman 650 is! Sit back, cross your legs and have a cup of coffee.  ;)

2007 model. Didn't want to spend the bucks on new. Just finished a detail. Has a few nicks and scratches but the price was right. Automatic takes some getting use to but the manual mode is a kick. All 6 speeds.

Hopefully the other half will be healed up and able by the Fall. Will see. Have a factory backrest to instal later.

Oh, it's pretty darn fast also with a top speed over 100 mph. Not sure I would go there however.    ::)

Love the color.    :P

Pretty idea for commuting and urban running around. Automatic for traffic, good gas mileage, easy to park, built in storage, and plenty of power for the occassional freeway hop.

It's a kick. Just love it.

Cool day today so I just went ahead and finished it.

You know how pricey individual parts can be. Just the cushion was $159 and the  bracket just the same. Add the hardware and covers it  climbs even higher.

Found this complete OEM kit for $120 plus ship. Other half is happy now.  ;)

Don't forget your open face with the bubble visor now. :)
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I have "heard" all kinds of numbers. 100 plus, 110. Has an 8500 red line and 6 speeds so I don't know.

Has all kinds of functions one of which is fuel mileage. Reset it today so we will see. Has a power mode which is more performance hence less mileage. The function stops at 50 mph so I'm thinking no more than that.

Packages in the trunk destined for the Post Office today and a few other errands. It will suit it's purpose just fine.

It was for sale. A guy out your way wanted to buy it. He just kept calling me saying "we are close on the price." Got tired of that and told him it won't leave the house unless "I" get my price.

Been over a week.  ;D In fact I'm getting ready to store it on the lift. Ducati upgrades will wait until Fall. Never got the Shop air condition.  :'(
